was extremely exciting. The Zutons and Franz Ferdinand are perfect in concert; fun, confident, fresh, and whatever else it is that makes for a good performance. Seriously.

Alright so here's what I saw:

Head Automatica - Not too shabby. They were exciting but it was that screamy sort of rock that isn't the greatest. They made it work. They keyboardist is extremely hot; I had him sign my little line up sheet and then he tried to jack my sharpie.

The Like - A bunch of girls who can kind've rock but it was sort of uh, mellow? I don't know. Mallory and I left Reid and Deanna and wandered around for a bit to the Gobi tent to see Celebration which was worth while. Sort of like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, actually.

While we ate we could hear Matt Costa; he sounded good.

Nine Black Alps - Not as great as I'd hoped but they were okay. The lead singer wasn't having a great day for vocals or something. Mallory got me a cool sticker from back stage.

The Zutons - were amazing. (met back up with Reid and Deanna) They have so much energy and style and all that. They're saxophonist is insane; she dances and sings and gets totally into it. This was the best performance for most of the day and even after everything was said and done we were still humming the Zutons.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - was alright. For most of the performance it was kind've hard to hear what the lead singer was saying. I know he said Satan at least once.

TV on the Radio - was interesting. They were good but uh, sort of odd? I don't know. Mixed emotions.

Sigur Ros - was peaceful and I wish I knew what they were saying. They were better than I expected while I was there but Deanna and I ditched Reid for some t-shirt buying.

Franz Ferdinand - was the most exciting band of the day by far. To quote Reid,"I didn't know I liked Franz Ferdinand that much!". It was just a fun place to be, everybody dancing and singing. The band sounded great and we were rather close-ish to the stage.

After that was supposed to be Atmosphere but the Eagles of Death Metal was running over their time. He loves the ladies, that one. "Let's here it for the ladies!" is apparently his catchphrase because he said something similar a good 5 times.

Atmosphere - was good for rap. The girl in front of me knew all of the lyrics to all of the songs. Weed was everywhere.

She Wants Revenge - was good (at least the songs I liked were good) but everyone was so tired by then it didn't matter. Although we were livened up a bit by this 40-50 year old next to us who was dancing the night away. Pictures to come, haha.

It was great; I'm happy.
