You didn't know. [Not as much of a question, the way Mello intones the words. He goes quiet for a long moment, tense with memory - Roger's office, Near, that stupid puzzle - Mello remembers it all so vividly.]

L, you stupid thing. How could you be that idiotacally stupid?!
[B's laughing now. Not happy or amused at all, but he's laughing. Because it seemed so funny, so unbeliavable that his famous L was killed... killed!! L!!! His laughters are only interuppted by a few sobs.]
