This weekend has been mainly suckage.
  • I broke a glass on my floor last week.  Managed to miss some a lot of the little slivers.  One got in my foot Saturday afternoon, can't get it out.  Will go to Walk-In clinic on Monday.
  • I've had ... erm... Digestional issues for the past week.  I should go see a Doctor, but I feel like I'm finally getting it under control.... and this is not something I want to get into with a Walk-In clinic unless absolutely necessary.
  • Toilet clogged up badly.  Finally got it uncleared. (Note to self, need more Vinegar apparently...)
  • Apparently my cleaning isn't up to snuff as I've been hit with a swarm of fruit flies.  Got rid of most of the current generation, now to wait for the next... and the next... *sigh*
In less sucky news:
  • Went to Word on the Street with Hakaisya, which was fun.  Didn't buy any books, but did get a subscription to Theatre Passe Muraille -- 4 plays for $35.  I'm actually looking forward to this, as it was kinda on my todo list.
  • Spent way too much on a sound system (HTIB)... but it was onsale! ... It's a Sony, which I know sucks for audio... but... enh.  It was in a price range I felt like I could afford.  We'll see how much use it gets.  I don't have a TV (much less an HDTV), but wanted an FM radio with a remote control and a good number of presets...  and eventually a TV will come into the picture -- just trying to figure out how much I will need to continue downloading... as that defeats the purpose of an HD setup.
  • The HTIB will arrive next Saturday.  FORTUNATELY, the pickup is in my neighbourhood and not at Jane/Steeles (F U, UPS!).  The one challenge is transportation, however I somehow found an abandoned cart (plank + castors) in the trash which still works, so I'll be able to roll the box down the street with any luck. (Ah the joys of being car-less!)
  • I've been exploring my FM dial a bit on my broken alarm clock washroom radio.  I think I'm tired of my regular station and my iPod.  CBC Radio One and Jazz FM.  Am I turning into my parents? meep.
