Drama work as seen in medical field (good idea for any episode of any medical series)

See, there's this congress we've been invited to, organized by a rich pharmaceutics company, about respiratory problems in premature babies (no need to say, their product is for premature babies with respiratory problems...)
It will be in a grand hotel in Paris, with a wonderful dinner in a museum which has been made private for the event, and err, of course, some talkings about respiratory problems in premature babies.

Turns out that suddenly more than half the physicians of the pediatric ward suddenly expressed a warm passion for the subject and an interest in the (all included, no entrance fee) congress. Problem : a pediatric ward needs at least some physicians to work, and even one of them to assure the night duty.
Well, that's why there are bosses, no ? So that they can tell "you and you can go, you cannot."

But...
The boss suddenly feels a passion for premature babies too. And since he doesn't want to admit the hypocrisy of this, he won't make a decision and tell who can and who cannot go. So I, pregnant, not even compelled to take night duties anymore, dealing with sick premature babies every day, who would very much have liked to improve myself and treat them better, may have to remain at hospital and cover the night duty, while my colleagues (and my boss) eat and enjoy the Grand Hotel Pullman.

I tried to reason with them today, called the person in charge of reservations, actually tried to find a peaceful solution, only to be told that I wasn't even able to call the right person.
The stupidity of this all makes me want to bite or kick some asses. I'm already sorry I spent a day and a half trying to sort things out.

What pisses me the more is this stupid and despicable greed that they won't even aknowledge. I'm certain if it was held in an obscure room with sandwiches, there would be no problem for me to attend.
Stupid them. Really, you would think that doctors are a bit more mature than that, no ? Well, no, they are not.

drama, work
