As you requested. . .

It was brought to my attention recently by several people that I needed to update my journal, so here we are. Christmas break was good, although home doesnt feel like home anymore and that is a little scary to me. I spent New Years in detroit with my cousins which was a great time. A lot of driving and not a lot of time spent with family, but every little bit means a lot more now that I hardly ever see them anymore. Hmmm....what else? Chicago night life is simply out of hand, enough said. There have been several occasions where I spent the better of 7 hours on a friday/Saturday night at bars hanging out with tons of cool people. There is something completely different about the bars here and I really like them. . . . minus the fact that it is really easy to spend a ton of money in a very short amount of time. Guess thats the price I pay for living in the big city. Other than that, I really dont have much free time to speak of. In fact, this update comes to you from the 3rd floor of the Chicago Board of Trade building before I hunker down for 3 or so more hours of work to bring today's grand total to 12 and this week's to close to 40 (its wednesday). Hopefully, this won't become too much of a habit bc it really cuts down on James time. . .which I am kind of starting to miss. This weekend should be cool. Steve is heading into town for the weekend so that we can go check out the Auto Show, chicago style. I am bummed that I didnt make it to the detroit one, but from what I have heard the one here in chicago is pretty out of hand as well. Definitely looking forward to it. And of course then there is Friday the 25th which will find me back in MI for seinfeld @ State. It will be nice to get back there, I am definitely missing campus these days. Should be kind of a coming home as well. Antone, Steve, Doug, and Charlie will all be there, not to mention my parents and sister too. Once again almost more time driving there and back than actually being there, but it will be well worth it. Seinfeld is out of hand. But on that note, its 6 and since I dont want to be here all night long, I am going to get to work. Have to try and find something that by all accounts may not even exist. Its called "research" but all the research I ever did in college was on a topic that I already knew. . .not a topic I had to try and find first. *sigh* What else do I have to be doing on a Wednesday night, right? I mean who wants to go home and relax? Bah, who does that anyways. Im outta here. . . pray I find something before I pass out.
