Well, if my memory didn't fail me, I think the first Hetalia that I read is the scanlated version of USA Independence Day strips.

At first glance of it I was like, "Well, another type of 'Afganisu-tan' eh? Only with cute boys, not bad...." and after finished reading it I was like, "Holy shit I think I'm in love." And then started to dig through all of the scanlations, which were not really much of it at that time.
Unsatisfied, I went to the original site and read all of the comic strips I could find there, though I don't really understand most of it, lol. XD
9. How does it hold up to your thoughts on world history?
Hmmm I think it's portrayed well enough, though there are parts that I felt quite not fit in, but overall, it's good. Well, it's just a comic anyway, not some sort of history thesis or something. ;D
10. Do you now want to take another world history class?
I've quite satisfied myself with all the world's civilization history lectures I've got in my university, but another history class would be nice. ^ ^ I like to learn things from the experts, they give me a lot of new views upon analyzing subjects/events which probably I've missed on my own. Strangely though, Hetalia makes me more interested in politic rather than in world history, since I already like the subject from the start, lol.

I've got to say that at 1st, I already like Russia as a country, and then I'm in love with his design character and the personalities that came along with it, ^ ^ but what I like best about him is the mentality in which he always struggle to reach for the top even though he's faced with a lot of fail on the way, and he's survived the loneliness and the rurality on his place to raise into one hell of superpower on earth, you should give him credits for that. Those of course are good if they're being done in nice ways, unfortunately history proven the other way around. Well, I take only the core of it. Is it funny if I said he's become quite my inspiration for now? :'D
On another thing, him as a character got a lot of awesomeness in it; the design, the bipolarity attitude, the water tap, his dream of sunflower fields. I love them all. <33

So, it's happened when the strips were still in Japanese language, I was scrolling down the page, thinking, "WTF moon speak..." and seeing random pictures of Finland-kun and Hana Tamago. But then, suddenly France appeared and when I was looking in the next picture I was like, "HOMG NEKKID!!!" (it's the picture of nekkid!Finland on the bed).
Unfortunately for me, my friend out there heard my scream, and then came in front of my door and shout back, "Rie, are you watching porn?! How dare you not invited me to join!

Seeing Holland came to the spot would be epic, and I also want to see the Cold War event, where Russia and USA compete to get the biggest influence in the world, Russia with his commie web while USA with his freedom web, screwing the world around. And then some countries would be like, "OMG you guys are sick bastards! We're not taking any of your side!" and forming Non-Aligned Movement instead. Yes, I'd like to see that.
On historical irrelevance one, I'd like to see them doing some fluffy group get-together stuffs, like BBQ party perhaps? Or drinking contest, or 'truth or dare' playing and such, but those are more likely to be doujinshi materials here. XD

Um...seeing them portrayed in Hetalia, I think Japan is not quite fit in with the rest of the group in my opinion. Italy seems to concentrate his interest more to Germany, while Germany also put most of his concerns to Italy. I see that Japan's role is more as observer, not as part of the group, and he rarely did something (goofy) together along with the rest, mostly it's just about Germany and Italy.
24. The Axis lost the war, but do you think they have any qualities that you'd go 'well, if it's THIS, then they pwn the Allies'?
Japanese manga totally pwn the Allies, lol.
Hmmm... Hetalia wise, maybe their determinations? Because they're like, totally won't go down until they're broken into pieces by the Allies (except for Italy, lol, he pawns the Allies for failness).

Estonia seems like the type who don't go to the spot and put his mind more into his study, and Latvia seems like the naive type that easily got himself into trouble and cry, but actually I've got the impression he secretly has a very dark side within that personality of his.
Ahh, I don't really like how Poland's portrayed in Hetalia, he's....very rude and kinda bitchy, D8 especially towards Liet (Ch.4 everyone?). Or maybe I'm just biased because I have a not-so-good memory with a bitchy friend of mine before.

Um...seeing them portrayed in Hetalia, I think Japan is not quite fit in with the rest of the group in my opinion. Italy seems to concentrate his interest more to Germany, while Germany also put most of his concerns to Italy. I see that Japan's role is more as observer, not as part of the group, and he rarely did something (goofy) together along with the rest, mostly it's just about Germany and Italy.
