I finished 3-9. Lots to work on with my game - so will keep trying to improve. I don't think I'm playing hugely terribly, but I do have certain tendencies that need to be curtailed e.g. fishing too much, not paying attention to board dynamics (i.e. the fundamentals of scrabble).
Still enjoying Collins, though I need to get over the board practice. I'm so out of the habit of playing live that I am finding ways to make mistakes that I wouldn't sat in my living room playing against quackle.
Here are the final game results:

I had fun playing with Jeremy the last four games of the day. We split those which was fair. The VOUTSAFE was a 100 point out-bingo when I fished off an S from my rack of AEOSSTU hoping to draw the F with 3 in the bag. I'm not sure if it was the correct decision (probably not actually), but it was exciting when the F came out (for me at least).
I also was challenged by challenges. I can't believe I didn't challenge AGOROTS* after holding it for a minute. I think if it had come after 6 wins in a row I would have insta-challenged. As it came after 6 losses in a row I started questioning everything. I also failed badly on some other challenges - I'm the Andy Murray of scrabble hawkeye.
A one-day in CT is up next.
