Validations/ Thoughts/ Reflections for 2004

1. Finally realized that the Corinthians statement on love is true. For a log time, I wondered whether a pure love as such exists. To exalt on its power, here is what I will always believe in :"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

2. That the only sane thing in the world is be a slave to your work, as it would not demand anything from you nor can you demand anything from it. Thus, there is no emotional blackmail. Ika nga, "walang personalan, trabaho lang."

3. Learned lots of slang words c/o my dearest boss, Dawn: cameltoe, wedgy, three point turn, are my ears flappin or did I stutter, flippin the bird, swingers, $3 bill, catch 22. I better be teaching her bad words in Tagalog for 2005. I love learning slang!!!

4. Running is the best form of mental relaxation.
5. Think of one image or object and you are on the road to basic meditation.
6. That after 20 years, I relaized that Pia is a sucker for Disney collections.
7. In reference to #6, I listen more intently now. Should be getting better every year.
8. That speaking my mind loses me friends. To me, it should not be the case as friendship should evolve with the changes one experience. If one can't keep up with you and questions the changes, then move on.
9. That I can be single forever but in my heart I found my St. Nick.
10. I always be in my "terrible twos".
11. Homewood which I despise 2 years ago is my second home, away from home. I spend more time in my office than at home... I'm sure most people do.
12. That higher salary does not mean higher standard of living.. it means higher cost of living... gosh!!! why is it not indirectly proportional? whoever studied economics?!
13. that Jakey boy loves eating free food at Costco while shopping.
14. that Jakey's # 1 motto "mahirap magmagandang loob" is sometimes true.
15. that as I grow older, I realize that finding someone is as simple as getting the correct bra size.. if your boobies can't fit on a cup b, throw it and get the correct size. Relationships, like bra sizes, should correctly fit you.
16. I will be forever frugal in hotel accommodations because I am a backpacker at heart.
17. Watching a movie all by myself is a liberation.
18. That UCB is my favorite store at Arundel Mills Mall.
19. That I can drop anything for a chewy fudge cookie from Mrs. Fields.
20. Finally, I know why the sky is blue.. why eggs boil faster in New York than in Mexico City, why I drink more water after getting drunk. Yes, I knew them after 29 years...
21. That my sexual libido is always at its peak.
22. That love is a mental game. Never wear your heart on your sleeve. Screw them, if you get lucky, you find love. If not, grow up and move on.

2004 was a great, great year for me. For the most part, happiness, contentment and peace followed me wherever I went. I have realized that it is true when they say.. " your destiny is in your hands".. I am empowered to make a difference in my life, in other peoples' lives and I am happy that wherever I go, I have my family, friends, work and passion to accompany me. They say, "success is keeping your enthusiasm within failures", and I believe that. Attitude makes the difference. And in bading 2004 goodbye, let me say: Our lives should never be a sprint. It should always be a long distance run. Thanks 2004 for the valleys, the peaks, the dawn, the darkest night, the plains, the heat, the cold. I am so geared up and ready to kick butts this 2005!!!
