my annual birthday wishlist

Feb 08, 2011 20:30

time does really fly when you're having a grand time. what do you know? it's my birthday again! time of the year when you look back at your achievements and contemplate on what you want to happen in the future. my life so far has been alright, God has been really good to us. anyway, on to the more happy stuff!

birthdays are a good reason to get something you really want (but don't need). and i present this year's "I WANT!" list.

1. Deborah Madison's "Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone" - haven't tried anything from her that had let me down. the book is over 10 years old yet it is still up in the ranks for best vegetarian cookbooks.

2. Yotam Ottolenghi's "Plenty" - i could easily plagiarize the book for my own perusal but having seen the book, i want my own copy just because the photos are to-die-for and the recipes fairly easy to follow

3. more baking sheets - because you can never have too many of these

4.Bottega Veneta Ebano Intrecciato Nappa Bag - which at nearly US$4K is a definite want, not a need. I've never had a real designer bag. The higher-end brands that I have (which aren't really considered luxe labels) are Agnes B, Banana Republic, Lacoste and Tommy Hilfiger but thinking back i really haven't been good at keeping care of my bags. so i probably shouldn't be wasting money on a pricey bag that i won't be using much anyway. But it's been a wish/want/dream to have my own Bottega Veneta. couldn't care less if i can buy 2 LVs with that amount of money because LV sucks! hehehe. it's so mass market it's not even funny.

a girl can dream anyway...
