good things
woohoo! three things to post about:
1. work sucked ass today. it was unbelievably busy - all my patients showed up *gasp*! i had no time to slack... i didn't even get to read today's paper. anyway, the good thing about today was a product audiologist sat with me during ABR/ASSR testing just to check on our machine's parameters and see if i was doing things right. she commented that i was doing things more or less like how they did it in UCLA (with yvonne sininger! oh ha, taray!). i got my thresholds right, good thing i was able to fight off nerves. i usually don't like someone looking over my shoulder when i'm doing my thing, but this time round i was pretty composed and was able to answer her questions and satisfy her. she told her colleagues i did a great job with my patient. well, what can i say? i love ABR and the challenges it present.
2. i fucking passed JLPT level 3! hahaha! i can't believe i scored beyond the passing mark! i got a 273 and the cut-off score is 240. i remember feeling fairly fucked up during the test when i discovered the listening section actually has a part 2. when i was doing my reviews i didn't know about it so imagine my surprise during the exam! i scored lowest with listening and highest with vocab/grammar. i got a whopping 88/100. don't know how i did it. don't ask me!
3. and we're so going to europe! we conquered travel fair at expo and came home $1000 poorer (downpayment). we managed to secure ourselves slots to a 15-day switzerland/italy/france tour with dynasty travel. we paid more than what i expected but at least we're given a few more months to save up for it. hopefully we won't encounter any problems with our visas as we're both holding crummy green passports.
i don't know if it's just me but i hate travelling with my philippine passport. every immigration officer seems to think i'm going to stay in their country illegally. give me a break!! i'm seriously thinking of ways how i can use my HK passport as my primary one. at least nobody's going to look down on me.
