bye 2007, welcome 2008!
another year, another set of resolutions.
saw the sharapova exhibition match last night and it was a blast! didn't know tennis can be such a nail-biting sport. i do not follow tennis and do not know what the rules are, i was just coerced asked by joel to watch the sharapova game with him. it was definitely fun seeing both world nos. 5 (maria sharapova) & 6 (anna chakvedatze) battle it out on the court. goodness, they make it look so easy-peasy! maria easily took the first set 6-0, but anna didn't go down without a fight in the second set, 7-6 (12-10)! they played fantastic tennis during the second set which is quite a spectacle.
anyway enough of my silly tennis ramblings. my cousin and i brought chomie to the vet this afternoon for her annual check. she's not ill or anything but just wanted to make sure everything is in check since we're planning on bringing her out of the country next year and nz has one of the strictest customs security in the world. she still doesn't need a rabies jab until about 6 weeks before she flies to nz and she doesn't need to be quarantined upon arrival there. whew, such good news!
ok, think i've posted enough. joel and i are going to host (new year) lunch tomorrow at our place and hope it's going to be fun fun fun!
- learn to become more spiritual
- tolerate joel even more and grumble less
- remember to slap on sunblock! i have to start taking care of my freaking skin because i'm not getting any younger and aging (in my case) started 2 years back! geez, i don't even have a proper skin care regime!
- be less cynical (har har har)
- read more audiology journals and spend less time in front of the computer doing nothing
- play even more badminton so i can maintain my weight even if i eat a lot (hehe)
- talk to my folks more
- dress myself up from time to time and finish my make-up stuff within next year! hahahahhaha.
- become a better photographer
- stop picking my cuticles!!!
