woo!!
what an amAzing day!!

this morning i had to wake up early, but it was all worth it, because...

me, amitski and paul went to the natick newbury comics and saw thursday and thrice play an acoustic minishow!!! it was way fabulous. the singer from thursday was having a rough day, and he got a little faclempt during one song, so touching, he's so poetic. i was really interested to see thrice play an acoustic set, and they pulled it off v. well!! dustin has a really nice voice, and all the harmonies and stuff, oo, it was good times.
after they played, they signed autographs. i got both band's signitures, only they're all mixed on one sheet of paper...oops. and i got eduardo an autograph from the guys from thrice because i felt bad that he couldn't be there cuz he likes them a whole bunch.

then, the actual show....
one of the best combinations of bands i have ever seen at one show. i love them all!!

amitatata was able to acquire 2 extra tickets so paul could see his beloved coheed, and eduardo could see his beloved thrice. me, amitatata, paul and brendan went to the avalon to meet eduardo, but things got confused, so his ticket wound up getting sold to a pair of guys. i felt v. bad, especially when just as we were going in he called to say he would be there in a minute. i waited and i found the guys that bought his ticket, tried to convince them to sell it back, and they said that if they couldn't get another one for the other guy (it was a pair, remember?) that he could have it. i went in just in time to see coheed and cambria, and luckily, eduardo made it in in time to see thrice.

coheed and cambria=wow! claudio has an amazing voice, he doesn't sound like a man or a woman, he just sounds great. they were really good live, too; his voice wasn't icky like some people's get when they sing live, it was still awesome. they played lots of good songs too, yay!!

thrice, oh boy...
decided to try the pit... got out after the first three songs when i suddenly remembered that i don't like people; especially strangers touching me (gives me the heebie-jeebies), and especially when those strangers are smelly and sweaty and squooshing your body in a million different directions. i managed to find a spot on the steps where i could see perfectly, and personnaly i'm fascinated by watching bands, and that's not very possible when you're watching for who's gonna throw a fist at you in the pit. plus i'm short and clumsy and have little-to-no balance or patience, so i think i'll stick to the side-lines. thrice tore that shit up. v. v. good. guitarist is way good, and from where i was standing the singer (again with a lovely voice) kind of reminded me of sean patrick flannery....mmmmm.

then... we saw paris in flames...
met up with eduardo and he and his roommates joined me on the steps to see....thursday!! they were jawsome! played some good tunes, all the ones i wanted and more! understanding in a car crash, cross out the eyes (upon paul's request), and signals over the air, oh geez! geoff cheered up some and sang his little heart out. he reminds me of a muppet for some reason...?? he's so tweaky, it's so cute. during a song off their lp confetti shot out of two thingies and showered the audience, haha, good times.

had to deal with a lot of annoying people today, but it was worth it to see such excellent bands with a few not-annoying buddies.

ah, tomorrow is something corporate, and hopefully will get to see me some mihaela as well!!
