I love Trouble
“I hate her…”
“What did you just say sweetheart??”
“I hate that woman…”
“Again darling, What did you….”
“Aish…Umma~~~~ I-said-that-I-hate-that-woman…” Moonbin slowly emphasized every word.
“Who? Her?” his mother pointed her finger to the girl who was purposely sitting on her eldest son’s lap, roaming her hands all over him without caring about anyone in the house.
“Yes. Who else?” Moonbin glared at the woman who was pretending to giggle cutely but to him it sounded like an evil hyena instead.
“Well, umma doesn’t like her either but your hyung does. He seems happy and joyful.” His mother patted her son’s back gently.
“You call that face happy and joyful umma?? I think you need a new pair of glasses. A very good one, too.” Moonbin said, looking at his hyung who looked dead bored and lifeless.
“Yah…I’m not that old and I don’t see what could be so wrong about her…” his mother smacked him on the arm softly.
“Oh everything’s wrong Umma. Hyung always dates the weird type of woman.” Moonbin turned to his mother who was blinking her eyes.
“This woman is a player. She’s not even sincere to hyung.”
“How do you know?”
“Just watch umma. Then you’ll see.” Moonbin turned back to the woman who was now sitting by herself waiting for her boyfriend to come and serve her. Moonbin slowly walked into the living room. She spotted him and smiled widely to the young man.
“Oh, hi Binnie~~~ Missed me, don’t you?” the girl gave him an air kiss.
“No. I’m here to get my workbook which happens to be under your flat ass.” Moonbin said pointing his finger to the couch.
“Oops…my bad…” she said, sticking out her tongue cutely. Moonbin wanted to throw up at the sight.
“You want it back, Binnie? Come and get it~” she moved herself to sit on his workbook completely while spreading her legs seductively.
“Nevermind, I’ll get it later.” Moonbin sighed hardly and turned back to the coffee table, gathering other stuff quickly. He then felt a pair of hands rubbing on his behind. He turned back just to get his male's pride grasped aggressively.
“Oh my…Comparing to Yunho, yours is pretty big for a 14 year-old-boy. You don’t want noona’s help to get you through an adulthood, lover boy??” she said while eying him and rubbing her hand on Moonbin’s package.
“Urg! You are sick!” Moonbin slapped her hands away harshly and stomped out of the living room leaving a female hyena howling annoyingly.
“Umma…you’re supposed to help me back there.” He said when he entered the kitchen, seeing his mother laughing crazily.
“Oh sorry darling. Umma thought that you wanted me to watch but not to act.” Mrs. Jung could not help but laughing louder.
“Aish! Anyway you saw what happened. She’s been doing that to me everytime when hyung’s not around. I hate her and I don’t want her to be with him any longer.” Moonbin said it loud and clear.
“What can we do darling? Your hyung likes her.”
“He has really bad taste in women. So I’m gonna find him a new one. And it’s gonna be a man, not any annoying girl.” Moonbin stamped his fist on the table.
“Binnie, are you going to turn your hyung gay?”
“What’s wrong? You’re afraid that you won’t have grandchildren? Don’t worry umma. Jihye noona and I will give you enough so Yunho hyung can be gay.” Moonbin nodded his head.
“Are you sure that Yunho will be fine with this?”
“Why not? He has more gay friends than straight friends anyway. Yoochun hyung, Junsu hyung, Changmin hyung, Kibum hyung and many more are gay. And they are Yunho hyung’s best friends. So I don’t see anything wrong if Yunho hyung is already one of them but he doesn’t realize.”
“Your theory…” Mrs. Jung chuckled, shaking her head.
“And I just have the right person for him.” Moonbin smiled cheekily to his mother.
“Who?”
******************
“Binnie darling, are you sure about this?” Mrs. Jung asked, looking at the man who kept falling on the floor. For the past hour, she saw nothing but the sight of a pretty boy tripping, falling, dropping stuff and banging his head on things. It was rather cute she had to admit but it must be painful to go through this everyday.
“Yes umma. Kim sanseangim is the best. He is lively, generous, cheerful, kind, and drop dead gorgeous for a man. He’s a good match for Yunho hyung.” Moonbin smiled happily.
“But he is….” Mrs. Jung saw him stepping on a carpet and tripping.
“..clumsy… oh dear….” She winced when she saw him banging his head on the cabinet above him.
“That is perfect. Yunho hyung always cares for the people around him. He will fall in love with my teacher in no time…”
********************
“Binnie, have you…. ah!!!!” Jaejoong tripped over the edge of the uneven floor. Before he dropped on the hard floor, a pair of arms came around his waist and pulled him up gently.
“As always…” Yunho said, smiling gently to the man in his arms.
“Tha… Thank you Yunho. And you’re always around to save me.” Jaejoong smiled sweetly to him, gripping on Yunho’s shirt tightly.
“Cause I know that you won’t survive around my house without me rescuing you.” Yunho said, laughing happily at the pouting man in his arms.
“Can’t you tell the different, since you know me you have less bruises on your body??” he mocked Jaejoong, laughing slightly.
“Yah…I can survive around here and I will… It’s not that hard.” Jaejoong pushed himself out of Yunho’s embrace. He stick out his tongue to a chuckling Yunho. He spun around and continued walking but he already had forgotten about the uneven floor behind him. He tripped at the same spot and fell but Yunho dashed in and saved him.
“You see what I mean??” Yunho chuckled happily.
“You....Such a trouble maker…”
“Fine… whatever…” Jaejoong was blushing while trying to move away.
“Let me go now…please…” he asked, wiggling himself out of Yunho’s arms but Yunho kept his arms locked on Jaejoong’s waist.
“Are you sure that you’ll be ok this time?” Yunho tried not to laugh at the blushing man who tried to look everywhere but at Yunho.
“Yes. Let me go already…” Jaejoong was pouting more as he saw Yunho winked his eyes at him, mocking him. Jaejoong hit Yunho’s arm playfully before leaving Yunho laughing joyfully.
Around the corner of the room, there were a mother and a son watching the cute scene happily. They smiled and giggled nonstop.
“Aw… they are so cute together.” Mrs. Jung put her hand on her heart, feeling her joyful heartbeat.
“Yes they are. Too bad that Yunho hyung has not broken up with that woman.” Moonbin shook his head.
“Binnie darling, it’s been just couple months since they met. Give them some time to get to know each other better.” Mrs. Jung patted her son’s back lovingly.
“Arrange a trip and lock them up together for a week. That might help.” A voice came from their behind.
“That’s a good idea.” Mrs. Jung rubbed her chin and turned back.
“Yah… What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be at the dorm right?” he looked at her daughter who was peeping at her oppa.
“I’m back to get some clean clothes. The washing machines at the dorm are occupied. Can’t waste my study time on waiting. By the way, he’s cuter than I thought. Yunho oppa will fall in love with him soon.” Jihye said while munching on the apple in her hand. Her mother and brother nodded their heads in agreement.
“Well, gotta go now. Study group will start soon. Oh and Binnie, you’d better practice the piano more often cause if you don’t get any better, I’ll replace you with your teacher on my university performance.”
“No…you won’t do that..” Moonbin turned to his sister who was shrugging.
“Oh I will do so since Jaejoong oppa’s going to be our future in law so I will be glad to have him playing the piano for me.” Jihye winked her eyes before saying goodbye to her family.
“Anyway, let’s make a trip Binnie.” Mrs. Jung came back to her Yunjae topic.
*******************
“Are you causing another trouble again Jaejoong-ah?” Yunho went to sit beside Jaejoong on the floating platform by the lake. The breezy wind gently twirled around Jaejoong and Yunho before blewing away. The calm and peaceful environment was always the best place to escape from a big city.
The Jungs decided to make a family trip to their house by the lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jung said that they wanted to have some happy family time. Moonbin was on school break while Jihye had one week break before her exams. Yunho refused to join them at first because he had some issues at work. When he knew that Jaejoong was invited to the lake house as well, he asked his assistant to continue the work and they would do teleconference calls later.
“Oh shut it. I’m not causing anyone’s trouble. I’m just trying to do the crochet.” Jaejoong said, trying to find the end of the thread but failed to do it.
“Can’t you do anything right at all?” Yunho chuckled while reaching his hand to a bunch of threads in Jaejoong’s hands.
“Here…let me help…” he held another ball of threads in his hand, trying to find the end of it.
“Yah… you’re supposed to detangle it, not to make it worse.” Jaejoong complained, feeling his hand was tangled with the ball and something else.
“Yah… you are the one who is making it worse. I’m just trying to help.” Yunho said, pouting.
“Fine, fine… you stay still then. Let me try first.” Jaejoong said, bringing Yunho’s hand close to him and looking around to find the right thread. He concentrated hard on the task without realizing that Yunho was staring at him and enjoying Jaejoong’s serious face.
Yunho loved to look at Jaejoong’s facial expressions. They always made him smile. He did not know when he became so attached to his brother’s piano teacher. All he knew was that he had to hurry home everytime Moonbin had a piano lesson with Jaejoong. He wanted to be around when Jaejoong tripped, fell or did something clumsy so he could save the man. He loved looking at Jaejoong’s pouting face. It was just too cute to ignore. When Jaejoong blinked his eyes because he did not understand Yunho’s gag, he just wanted to pinch the man’s cheek and hug the clueless Jaejoong tightly.
The feelings Yunho had for Jaejoong were different from his girlfriend. None of his girlfriends gave him the feelings that they needed to be protected. But with Jaejoong, he always had these feelings. He wanted to be around Jaejoong to take care of him, to protect him, to cherish the tiny moments he had with Jaejoong.
“What are you two doing?” Jihye popped up from the lake, followed closely by Moonbin.
“Ah!!” Jaejoong screamed shocked. Yunho laughed as he held the grip on Jaejoong’s hands tighter as to calm him down.
“You… nearly gave me a heart attack…” he panted heavily.
“Sorry… we saw the two of you being so close but doing nothing so we got really annoyed.” Jihye said. Yunho and Jaejoong looked at their position. Jaejoong was nearly on Yunho’s lap as he was so into solving the thread problem. Yunho was in Jaejoong’s dreamland so he failed to see it. After realizing it, they blushed and tried to move away but the bunch of threads stopped them.
“Aish…Let me do it.” Jihye said annoyed. She climbed up on the platform, detangling the threads quickly. When she spotted something, she stopped.
“Ooh…I’ll better let you two do the rest. Bye…” she jumped back in the lake, pulling nosy Moonbin with her.
“That’s weird…” Jaejoong’s eyes followed the young Jungs' figures.
“That’s them…” Yunho said, looking down at their tangled hands. He smiled and looked at Jaejoong who was still laughing at the young Jungs.
“Okie…let’s continue.” Jaejoong turned back and looked down at the threads. He blinked his cute doe eyes. Not for long, his face was turning red in embarrassment. He had nowhere to hide it now.
“Who…Who did that? Jihye??” he looked away as to hide his flushed face.
“I don’t think so. I think it was there from the beginning.” Yunho said, smiling happily to see Jaejoong blushing.
“No wonder why we can’t do it. Our fingers were purposely tied to each other…” he said, nudging Jaejoong’s pinky with his.
“Is this what they call a single red thread??”
“Don’t know. Don’t ask…Let’s get it out…”
“No…I want to keep it this way. Two lost souls have finally found each other and are tied together for eternity…” Yunho whined. He liked the feeling of having Jaejoong’s pinky tied with his by the red thread.
“Yunho…” Jaejoong looked at him sadly.
“I would love to believe in that but….you already have a girlfriend…” he could not say anything else. He detangled the threads and their hands quickly. He could not let Yunho see how he felt about him because Yunho was already taken. Yunho was not his and could never be. He got up and left Yunho speechless.
“But I…… have already fallen for you….” Yunho looked at the back of Jaejoong, feeling sad.
****************
“Why is everyone so quiet? It’s supposed to be a fun family dinner.” Mr. Jung looked around the table. None of them spoke a single word.
“Honey, what’s wrong?” he asked his wife who was keeping her eyes on Yunho and Jaejoong.
“Don’t know either but I don’t like what I’m seeing right now.” Mrs. Jung pouted as she saw Jaejoong sitting opposite Yunho. She wanted him to sit next to Yunho but Jaejoong avoided that. Yunho also did not push to have Jaejoong sit next to him like he normally did.
The family dinner went well but too quiet. Only Mr. and Mrs. Jung chatted. Jihye and Moonbin kept whispering and eying their hyungs.
“What’s wrong with them?” Moonbin asked his sister.
“Don’t know. I thought things went well a couple of days ago. They even had their fingers tied together by fate but… what happened?” Jihye tried to think logically but found no solution.
“Are you sure that you did not cheat?”
“Yah, I’m a genius but not that genius. They got their fingers tied themselves. I was just there to make them see.” Jihye smacked her brother harshly for accusing her doing such an inhonorable thing.
“Oh… that looks like your girlfriend, Yunho.” Mr. Jung pointed a finger towards the girl on another table.
“You said she has a show in Italy. How come she’s here?” everyone turned to look at her.
“That is really her…” Moonbin said, turning back to look at his umma.
“She lied to us?” Mrs. Jung felt like being hit on her head.
Everyone looked at Yunho who was having a blank expression on his face. He kept his eyes locked on his girlfriend. He clenched his hands tightly when he saw his girlfriend looking at a sparkling ring on her finger. She giggled and kissed the man next to her lovingly. They were about to leave the restaurant. That man held on Yunho’s girlfriend’s waist possessively.
“I need to talk to her.” Yunho got up but was pulled back by Jihye.
“Oppa…”
“I’ll be fine, Jihye. You guys go and wait for me at home.” Yunho did not look back at his family. He followed the couple out of the door.
“You think Yunho will be ok? I know Yunho’s always calm and strong but this…” Mrs. Jung hoped that her son did not do anything silly.
“He is a big boy now. Let him take care of his personal life.” Mr. Jung patted his wife’s back.
“Everyone, eat up so we can go home to wait for Yunho.”
‘Yunho…’ Jaejoong’s eyes followed Yunho’s figure until he left the restaurant.
**********************
“Can I sit here?” Jaejoong had been looking for Yunho all over the house. He could not see him anywhere. He came out and spotted Yunho lying on the platform, bathing himself under the moon radiant by the lake.
“Sit wherever you want.” Yunho said softly, turning himself toward the lake.
“Yunho…” Jaejoong sat next to him, reaching his hand to Yunho slowly. He felt his heart ache when he looked at a broken Yunho. He wanted to comfort the man badly.
“Quiet… I’m not in the mood right now…”
“Maybe I should leave you alone…” Jaejoong was already upset. He came all the way to look for Yunho and to comfort him but Yunho preferred to ignore him instead. He was about to get up but was pulled back softly.
“No…I’m sorry Jae-ah… please don’t leave me…” Yunho held Jaejoong’s hand, looking at him pleadingly.
“Fine…” Jaejoong sighed softly as he sat himself back on the same spot.
“Thank you Jae-ah…” Yunho smiled and moved his head on Jaejoong’s lap slowly. Jaejoong looked down and he moved his hand to stroke on Yunho’s hair gently.
After absorbing the peaceful environment around them, Yunho brought his hand on Jaejoong’s knee, stroking it softly.
“You know Jae…My life was very simple and boring. Eventhough I have a girlfriend but she never made me feel excited or made my heart jump crazily. We just followed the normal couple routines. We went to the movies, dined in the expensive restaurants, went shopping, and joined social gatherings. But things changed when I met you…” Yunho stopped his hand and turned to look at Jaejoong’s face.
“I’m a trouble, who brings a chaotic life to you, aren’t I?” Jaejoong ruffled Yunho’s hair hardly.
“Not like that… Let me finish…” Yunho stopped Jaejoong’s hand.
“Sorry…”
“After getting to know you, everything in my life changed. I became so excited whenever you were around. I was alert everytime you were around. I was afraid that you would hurt yourself somewhere. I had a habit of calling you just to check that you were ok while I never called my girlfriend to check on things like that. I felt like I had to be around to save you. I smiled crazily when I saw your childish behavior. When you pouted, I wanted to squeeze your cheek and kiss it until that cute pout of yours would disappear.”
“But Yunho…”
“I know. I have a girlfriend and I should not have felt that way with you. I could not help myself. I knew that what I felt for you is real and I wanted to take it to the next step. Few days back, when you reminded me that I’m not free to have you, I was so upset with myself. For once in my life I've fallen for someone for real but I could not have that person…”
“Yunho…”
“When my girlfriend…no, she’s no longer my girlfriend… when my ex told me tonight that she’s finally back with her long term boyfriend, I should have been mad but I was not. She told me that she was with me because she needed someone to occupy her mind while she was waiting for him to come back for her. I should have felt sad…but instead I felt so relieved…” Yunho came up to a sitting position. He held Jaejoong’s hand.
“She said sorry and everything but I told her that there was nothing to be sorry for. Because after all, it was not only her who was being unsincere in this relationship, both of us were.” He looked at Jaejoong’s shimering face.
“I know that one way or another, I would eventually break up with her because I’ve falling in love with someone else.”
“Who would that be?” Jaejoong cocked his head to the other side while waiting for Yunho’s answer.
“Don't you know?” Yunho said, stroking Jaejoong’s cheek gently.
“Yunho…I’m nothing to you but a trouble.”
“That’s one of the things I love about you. I love trouble.” Yunho said softly, chuckling at a pouting Jaejoong.
“Stop that cute pout of yours. You have any idea how many times I had to hold myself back not to kiss you…”
“But…” Jaejoong was stopped by Yunho’s hands on his face.
“I’m serious Jaejoong. I’ll kiss you if you don’t stop pouting…” Yunho chuckled when he saw Jaejoong stopping pouting immediately.
“Now…How about you? Do you have any feelings for me?” Yunho looked deeply into Jaejoong’s eyes.
“Nah, I don’t think so.” Jaejoong turned his face away, giggling.
“Yah…I poured my whole heart out to you and what do I get…Nothing?? Not even sympathy or good feelings in return?” Yunho pulled Jaejoong close, trapping him in between his legs.
“Let me go…” Jaejoong moved away but Yunho pulled him back and locked Jaejoong’s arms with his.
“No… not until you tell me how you feel about me…”
“I said I feel nothing…”
“Jaejoong-ah~~~~~~~~~~”
“Nothing…but love…” Jaejoong said softly, hiding his flushed face in his palms.
“Really?? Are you for real??”
“Want it to be a joke then??” Jaejoong leaned himself closer and smacked Yunho’s head playfully.
“NO…” Yunho buried his face in Jaejoong’s neck.
“Do you really love me Jae-ah?”
“Well…Let’s see…No one watches out for me like you do. No one cares for me like you do. No one calls me everyday just to check how I am doing like you do. No one can make me laugh and smile idiotically like you do. No one can make me feel that being teased is fun like you do. And no one can make my heart jump crazily like you do. So yes…all of the reasons above, I think I love you…” Jaejoong could not keep his speech short and Yunho loved to hear those words from Jaejoong.
“Jaejoong~~” Yunho hugged Jaejoong tightly.
“But I told you that I am the clumsiest person alive. I’m a pure trouble. You’ll have to deal with me all the time.” Jaejoong caressed Yunho’s hand on his chest gently.
“If the trouble is you, then I love trouble. And I’m ready to spend a lifetime solving it…” Yunho leaned in, stealing a kiss on Jaejoong’s cheek.
“Yah…” Jaejoong turned his face to Yunho.
“Jaejoong-ah, my birthday is coming…” Yunho cupped Jaejoong’s face in his palms.
“So??”
“Can I have you as my birthday present?”
“Yah!” Jaejoong smacked Yunho’s arm.
“When your birthday comes, you can have me as a present, too…” Yunho winked his eyes, smiling idiotically.
“I’m losing either way, right?…” Jaejoong shook his head. Yunho nodded his head happily. They laughed and looked at each other before closing their eyes, leaning in closer to seal their lips together.
From a far corner of the house, Mrs. Jung, Jihye and Moonbin squealed happily when they saw Yunho stole a kiss on Jaejoong’s cheek. Moonbin jumped joyfully when he saw Yunho kissing his teacher fully on the lips.
“Aw…Young people can be so sweet~~~” Mrs. Jung said, wiping her happy tears.
“Who’s being sweet?” Mr. Jung came around and startled the trio.
“Omo…Look at that! What is Yunho doing to Jaejoong?” he pointed his finger to his son who was about to get on top of a reclined Jaejoong.
“Aish silly boy…how can he attack Jaejoong like that….gotta whack some sense into of him.”
“A new mission that needs to be done children…your appa…” Mrs. Jung whispered to her children.
“Let’s do it!!” Moonbin and Jihye shouted. They turned to their father, holding onto his arms from both side.
“Appa…leave them alone…let’s go inside…we need to talk….” Moonbin said, dragging his appa along, followed closely by his witty noona and his mother. No one could destroy their hard work on the Yunjae’s relationship.
