Jakey: You know I love you. I talked to you last night, and I just want to still remind me how much we all care about you. I'd encourage you to still have a graduation party because so many of us are proud of you for the AP classes that you do take, and the fun and excitement you add to the Knowledge Bowl team, and your amazing journalism skills. Remember your essay for Tampa/USF (I don't remember which) that was about being true to yourself? Don't feel like you have to compare yourself to your friends. When we put that essay in the mail together we knew that even if the outcome wasn't going to be what you wanted it would still be ok because you believe in yourself. When you, Laleh, and I had the talk in the car that day about how everything happens for a reason, you need to remember that and be optimistic about what will happen in the future. You're an amazing person and friend, and I can assure you that everything will work out because of your potential. And if all else fails, you can look at your trusty yearbook from last year to the entry from he with the beautiful blue eyes and remember that you bring something truly unique to every class and team that you're on, and we love you for it. Keep your chin up, and although I will miss the jakeyoftampa LJ, I'm sure the next one will be just as good if not better. Love, Greta.
