Okay so a little story about my dad. I called him today because I heard from my uncle that he had fallen and injured himself and he was taking some time off work to convalesce. So I call my dad and ask how he is and he tells me that he had injured his achilles tendon and that his doctor had told him that it required surgery. My father being crazy and not marginally suicidal decided to try looking for a less expensive alternative. His alternative? Cobra venom which he purchased on the internet from someone in India. He applied it topically twice a day for a week and then went to see his doctor. After hearing the story the doctor wisely put as much distance between himself and my father as possible. My father claims to be cured and his doctor at least implicitly agrees. So there you go. Snake oil: The cure for what ails you.
