Final Show

Apr 10, 2006 23:49

Well, tonight was our final performance as a group for the Arad Arts Project 05/06. It was at a very swanky hip performance bar called Saloona and we packed it with people. I was the emcee for the evening and introduced all the performers and things, and KT and I did an as yet untitled comedy/beat poetry one-act about a new arrival to Israel and someone who's been here for awhile waiting for the bus while the one who's been here for awhile is kinda crazy and is teaching the new arrival hebrew in a very spastic and musical way. It was extremely well recieved. It was satisfying to do because a)it was our last performance for the Arts Project b)because it got the largest applause of the night c)because we're both sick and we were very worried our voices wouldn't hold out, and d)because we basically wrote it last night. So yeah, feeling pretty good at the moment, even though we're both still sick.
So now we have a couple days to get ready for Crete, we hop a bus Wednesday afternoon for Tel Aviv and then basically go to the airport and wait for twelve hours because we have a 4:55am flight and it's not worth getting a hostel room when we have to leave at 2:30am. Yeah, so we're doing our laundry now, we'll pack up tomorrow, and wake up and leave on Wednesday. We're very excited and doing our best to recover ASAP.
Okay, I'll probably update from the airport, or at least when we're in Crete. Have happy Pesach's everyone! Hag Sameach!
