A couple days ago KT and I went with our friend Sam and his friend from home Liz, who I now include among our friends, to the En Gedi Spa on the Dead Sea. For only $9 a person we spent the whole day soaking in sulfer baths (which smell really bad but feel really amazing), floating in the Dead Sea (always an incredible experience) and covering ourselves in Black Mud (this was KT's first time and we covered her so much she looked like some sort of superhero). It was really nice to get away with some really good friends. Today we lounged a bit and went swimming and started planning our arts presentations for Tel Aviv next month. I saw the therapist they provided today and she was very good. I was glad that she had strong English and it was good to talk with someone who had been completely emotionally removed from the situation. KT and I are still going to try to move rooms next week, because we both feel it will all be much easier once we get away from our hallway. My mom sent amazing packages to us recently that really helped deal with everything and we've been watching some feel-good movies that are always good for a pick-me-up.
On Monday at 6am (I had forgotten there was a 6am) we leave for a 4-day Tiyul up north in the Golan. We're doing 8-hours of hiking a day, which will be great, and it's even better because there are pools we have to actually swim through along the way. People are also more excited than usual for this Tiyul because there will be actual bathrooms and showers (though apparently they may be unheated) every night! This is total luxury for a Tiyul. Then when we get back we'll have a week until the elections, then another week until our first presentations. Then our Tel Aviv presentations, then Turkey, then Rent, and then we're done!!!!
I must say I'm very excited to for June. Hopefully it will come very, very soon.
