Thanksgiving Approaches!

Hi! So yesterday was spent cleaning the Writer's House for hours with some of the other Artists and it was a total mess, but we managed to get it done. There were rat droppings all over the place, particularly high on the walls, to which we all marvelled at the ability of rats. Now it feels like a real home, and we're going to have a makeshift Thanksgiving tomorrow with some of our friends. We went to the store yesterday and bought 15 pounds of turkey breast (a whole turkey cannot be found in Arad and it didn't seem worth it to lug one all the way from Be'er Sheva) So we're cooking it 3 different ways (traditional, Israeli, and BBQ) and we managed to find potatoes, sweet potatoes, 9 kinds of vegetables, and a cake (pie was not to be found, though we're still looking). We're also still searching for makeshift stuffing, but I have more hope for that right now than pie. We're also probably going to have a couple non-Americans there, so it will be the first Thanksgiving ever for some people. KT and I gave an Argentinian named Etan his first guitar lesson last night and it's been really fun for me to rediscover that instrument. Our writings going well, and I always can't wait to do more, so hopefully I'll get some time tonight. This afternoon is our firsts artists seminar. We're meeting up with a proffessional etching artist in Arad and he's going to show us how to etch and we'll get to try it ourselves. Should be fun. It feels a bit like kindergarten arts and crafts for adults. I hope everyone out there has fantastic Thanksgivings as well.
