Ranty Post That Is Ranty
Sigh.
I am just seriously and truly tired of some people saying whatever disagreeable or stupid thing they want and then choosing to hide behind and get butthurt when they're criticized or called out for whatever they say by going "OMG BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FIRST AMENDMENT!!!1"
The first amendment protects your right to free speech but it does NOT protect you from being criticized from others, and it does NOT protect you from consequences and repercussions of what you say and write. Period. Why can't some people understand this? What's so hard about it for some to understand?
We have our rights, but said rights come with responsibilities in this country. The more people that wake up and realize this, the better off we will all be.
