Geez. You know how people say "It never rains, but it fucking pours?" Here I am, cruising along, doing the JSA junior member thing, and bam! Something's up with Marvel. Captain Marvel. I'm all like 'what the hell?' 'Cause, you know, guy's practically perfect. Then, he turns out to be a kid a year older than me. Jay's not so good at details, but it's something like he is at the same time Captain Marvel and Billy Batson, and Billy's killing the Captain, which would be bad enough even without Court. But there's not much you can do. I mean, yeah, I'd help if I could but this guy's got Wisdom of Solomon and everything, and I . . . well, I got a B- for my last science test. So now it's my fault one of my friends is kidnapped.

And then, as if everything wasn't shitty enough, Marvel gets himself kidnapped. I ask you. So now I'm going to go to this Rock thing, to I dunno. Talk to a Wizard. It's kind of -- I always expected that when it was time for me to do something big, I would have at least one fucking clue what I was doing. I mean, Court, Jay, Ted, Alan, everyone -- they look so sure all the time. Are they pretending too? And if they are, does that make me feel worse or better?

I don't know, and I really fucking wish I did -- no, Thunder, that's not a
