So

Yesterday (Saturday- March 3rd)

Jay and I left town at the asscrack of dawn and drove down to Austin for STAPLE. It's a small Independent Press convention. We had received an invite several weeks ago but missed a couple of emails and were unable to get a table. Still, we were able to take in books to pimp. We did a few trades and made some pretty good connections. We also donated books to the Heroes4Heroes drive, a group that send comics and magazines and the like to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. AND we gave some books to Scott from Fanboy Radio! So we hope to be hearing from them soon.

This week

The webpage ( www.cattorpedo.com )should be back up and running. We've changed hosts so hopefully the issues from the last incarnation are a thing of the past. The layout will be the same one as before. For a time, as I plan on redoing the whole graphics set.

Next week

Continuing work on the 1st issue of WonderTeddy. Scripting, well RE-scripting, is a bitch. So many changes to be made from the original.

Two weeks (March 16-18)

We got an email the other day form the folks at All-Con wondering where we've been and why they hadn't heard from us. I've sent several emails trying to get a table over the past months and when I finally give up and decide not to go they contact us. Go figure. Anyway, they offered a table in Artist Alley for $65 and a comp of 2 extra badges for the problems caused by miscommunication, not a bad price. So after a bit of discussion we are changing My mind and will be attending All-Con. www.all-con.org

Three weeks (March 22-25)

We are guests at Aggie Con ( http://aggiecon.tamu.edu/ ). GUESTS! This looks to be great fun. Our table will be catty-corner from Richard Hatch and between 2 entrances so we'll get amazing traffic. I'll be sure to post a full update when we get back.

A ways down the road...

I will be helping Win with the AV stuff at AKon and will also be schlepping books out to sell. Jay and I HAVE to get to work on the Xeric Foundation paperwork. We also need to get in touch with the guys from Lazy Dragon Con about the deal we originally made for a free table. Even if they can't give it to us I want to attend. We'll also be at CAPE3 and the Live Art Show the night before. And even further out.... we will once again be attending Wizard World again this year. After last year's fiasco I had decided against returning. jay had been in contact with Scott, who we shared a booth with. The folks at WW agreed to give us a double booth for the same price we paid last year ($800 total) so 2 for one basically. Personally I am still irritated about how we were treated last year and planned on NOT going. synn convinced Me that it's too good a deal to pass up for such a large con. So we'll be going.

I am keeping watch for other cons we can do as well. So if anybody happens to know of any local or semi-local cons or Indie type shows please let Me or synn or Jay know.

That's it for this update. Type at ya later.
