I realize I shouldn't think and type at the same time. ... but that's just me.
Well after looking forward to AI last night ALL DAY and since LAST WEEK, I was NOT disappointed. And from the way it seems, very few were. I voted once for every guy and then focused my voting on my 2 top favorites based on last night. But I believe in the guys this season so that's why I gave them each a personal vote.
Patrick- I don't like him but I like his voice. Make sense? .. I think he did pretty darn good last night. Plus it was hard to get through [on the PHONE to vote] for him at first so I think he's safe.
David- SO EXTREMELY CUTE, cute performance, wonderful voice. Song choice was ok but I'm agreeing with everyone else that doesn't get why he chose that one when it's still sorta "old". But I think he's also safe. And again, he's such a cute boy, that'll probably carry him through a while. Unless a Judd Harris thing happens.
Bucky- I liked it! I enjoyed his performance. It obviously wasn't one of the best of the night but I'm all for a lynyrd skynyrd song and his voice is hot. Although I couldn't understand why he got through in the first place. I don't remember them ever show-casing his voice. Plus from here on in [or out?] it's probably gonna be all country. But unless his twin power voted for him last night [like coughIdidcough] I think the Bucky Buckeroos might have to say bye bye tonight. :( But I'm curious to see [hear] what he'd do next week.
Will- So CUTE. So very very cute. Which, of course, has a LOT to do with this SINGING competition. It's funny how his looks are being compared to Fred Savage though. But anyway I liked it. Even my mom couldn't understand why his song choice was what it was, but I think he did a good job. And his line was also uber busy last night, so...
Sway- I liked Sway's performance also. If you're not familiar with the song he did then you might not have gotten why he sang it so high. But in the end I think he's pretty smooth. And whether one is making fun of it or not, I don't think there was ANYone not impressed by that HIGH note. And I think he's cute. But it's gonna be a fight to the end tonight between him and Bucky I believe. One or the other is going home.
Chris- LOVE him. LOVE his voice. LOVED the song. I think his fan base is gonna keep getting bigger and pretty soon we're all gonna be comparing him more and more to Bo Bice. Even without the hair. ... He's safe.
Kevin- I have faith that this little dude is gonna pull through for one more showdown. I personally loved his performance. That wasn't an easy song for anyone to do. Especially considering the song was probably written to fit Brian McKnight's voice to a T. But if lil Kevin gets the boot, give him a couple more years and he'll be on his way to being a broadway star. His voice is too good. Actually, he reminds me of that, Josh Grobin? is that his name? The dude with the longer kinda curly dark hair and he sings like, almost very melodic opera?
Gideon- I think he's fun. And I personally LOVE his smile. He's safe.
Elliot- AWESOME rockers voice. USE IT BOY. Rock us OUT. But the song he chose probably showcased his voice better than a rock song. Although people are accusing him of playing it too safe.
Bobby- Well, I like Bobby. But I HATE that song. I think he's focusing too much on his own personal favorites than considering what he SHOULD sing instead. And it's gonna be a mean race to the end this time for the guys. So he's probably better off getting out now. Because I don't think he's gonna have a choice. I see him getting the other boot tonight. Except I'd personally enjoy seeing what he'd do next week. ... I should have voted for him more. :S After all, he CAN sing.
Ace- Love HIM. Love HIM. Love HIM. And his brother too.
But besides that, DAMN BOY. ... I don't think he has the BEST voice of the guys but if he keeps that sexiness going on, he's gonna be in our final 2. Just with that stare alone.
Tay- Glad to see he didn't go into any spasms tonight. And on a scale of 1-10, he'd get a 12. His voice is obviously very well trained. He doesn't need this competition. Other than for his 15 minutes of fame, like the rest of them that wanna be in this competition. Our final 12 are the best of the best. And we all know Taylor will be a part of it. But he doesn't NEED it. He'd do just fine without AI. Sure, there will probably never be a million dollar contract, but he'd make a living and get enough recognition just doing it on his own. Geesh. He could just sit on a log behind a curtain and not move a nerve and people would still enjoy hearing him sing. I like him. I think he's growing on all of us, but he simply doesn't NEED this competition.
I do however see him in our final 3. ... Plus he has a cute smile. Come on, ADMIT IT! HE DOES!
