(no subject)
I have been absolutely useless today. About the most constructive thing I have done is smoke and make rasta colored twist beads out of Fimo. Glazed and everything. (I've got a bead baking rack.) Yes, there IS such a thing! Oh, that'[s something most of y'all won't be clue to. I've gotten waaaay into making jewelry and do a lot of wirewrapping work. Hammerring metal is really fun, too. I've inherited it from my Grandmother who was a jewelist, gemologist, silver smith and rock hound, to boot. Sadly, she passed away this just a short time ago.
That is sad.
She was a very sassy and precocious lady...
She couldn't stand it when old age robbed her of the ability to make jewelry and paint. I can understand it. In the end, she just had a series of small strokes that eventually caused her to forget how to eat. What's really left after that?
Thank god for Hospice.

Back to jewelry... I have some for sale in a import gift shop. Selling on consignment, and some of my stuff has sold! I can't really believe it. Much less getting to occasionally swoop by and pick up some cash. Who would of thunk it??? I guess anybody who can remember me going overboard on the decorations for our FLY parties (RINCE CYCLE IN THA HOUSE!). Lawd knows I'd stay up for two days making bubbles out of vinyl. OCD extremous. What serious fun that was!
