I don't really want to share my feelings regarding the hurricane and its wake, I am so angry and upset by the whole thing, especially since the damage done did not have to be as bad as it was, if people would have gotten the twigs out of their asses and actually done what was suggested ( Read more... )

Thanks for sharing the links. I know several pixel sites are holding raffles and sig tag sales to raise money to donate also.. one site has already received $250 to donate...

You're welcome. My heart is breaking and we are so broke we can barely make rent...so I can't give money like I would like to. I do, however, knit, so I am gonna put some things up on that auction. Their goal is $5000 and the first day they made over $1000. I am just doing what little I can.

That's awesome that some of the graphics art community is pitching in also. Every little bit helps. I figure if someone can just give $5.00 that would feed someone or go towards a can of formula or a bag of diapers for a baby...the babies that are suffering is what hurts me the most. I feel so helpless, so like I said, I want to do SOMETHING.

Devastating news. It's front page all over the place here, with round the clock updates on BBC. I know you'll get money from some British charaties etc. Europe will probably have to donate oil from our reserves as well. It's a mess. I was in florida (Naples) at the end of mu holiday when Katrina came in off the sea, and hit Miami. We flew out of Miami the day the hurricane went out into the Golf, so we were lucky.

Terrible how this is being handled though. You'd think people would take a telling *sigh*
