Home sweet home

I have been home a little over a week now. Time just goes by so fast! Shortly after we got home Chris decided (well, I'm sure it wasn't willing) to bring home some germs so I think that I have been fighting getting that ever since. I feel so...droopy all the time. Johnathan has been sleeping a lot and spitting up even more. We took him to the doctors yesterday and she thinks he has acid reflux. I don't know if that is genetic or not, but Chris has it. I have seen JD a few times spit up acid and make this really icky face like it hurt and tasted bad, and I assumed he was spitting up acid, turns out I was right. So we are trying Zantac out to see how that works for him.

As much as I hate it I am going to have to start looking for another pediatrician. I really like the doctor but the support staff sucks major monkey anus. Our appointment yesterday was (I was told) 2:30 and when we got there, at 2:28, she told me that the appointment was for 2:15...then she made it seem like it was my fault and said "Well, I have to go back and see if the nurse can squeeze you in.". This isn't the first time this has happened either. I hate snotty people. And I think it is a prerequisite to them working there, super snottiness. Bleh. I don't like the doctor enough to put up with that bullshit on a consistent basis.

Johnathan is 3 months old now, and doing all sorts of shit. He has been turning over on his own for over a month now. He can go from a reclining position to a sitting position on his own. He can't quite sit up on his own yet, but I think that is what will come next. My favorite, though, is when he spits out his pacifier and I reach for it to put it back in his mouth. He grabs my hand real quick and goes "AAAHHH!" and tries to gobble up my hand. The thing that makes it so damn cute though, is that when he does it he has a shit-eating grin on his face. Like he KNOWS he's being silly. He's been exhibiting signs of teething for a month now, so he basically puts anything he can into that mouth of his. I SO love this child of mine.
