The (end?) of the fight

Mar 24, 2013 17:24

Y'all are probably well and truly sick of clips of the fight by this point, but this video gives a potential clue of how it ends on the show (the scene starts @ ~1:18). I wouldn't watch if you want to be surprised. (Most of this video is actors going blah, blah, everything is wonderful, but there is also a new clip of the RW @ 1:41 and some ( Read more... )

kind of anticlimactic if that's where they end it but that clip has made so many fun gifs possible

I laughed when he faceplanted, although guys on WiC are already complaining about Jaime being defeated seemingly so easily. (I mean, we haven't seen the beginning yet, Nikolaj could be all cocky-face like he was in the fight with Ned & Jory in S1.)

lol guys in this fandom love to shit all over this fight like jaime would have won super easily had he not ~been chained up in riverrun's dungeon, and they conveniently forget that brienne was deliberately not hurting him bc of her oath. w/e w/e, and yeah they're def going to play this fight up imo, the showrunners love swordfights and shit and gwen has been going on about training.

I think Jaime being able to hold up the sword at all is pretty implausible after being held captive and not being fed well, much less him being all Inigo Montoya. I would be faceplanting, too.

But no, he's been seekritly training with broken branches behind Brienne's back while they've been walking and doing curls with pinecones or something. ;-P

The look on Brienne's face when Jaime faceplants is awesome. I love her so much that is all!

I have nothing to say here other than that I share a lot of the same concerns but I'm looking forward to seeing the "softer side" of Brienne, and Gwen and Nikolaj are horrible life-ruiners who need to stop their pseudo-antagonistic relationship immediately or I will have a coronary

I definitely agree with the horrible life-ruiner sentiments. XD They totally enjoy doing it, the jerks!

Should we be very mean to everyone that hasn't seen them and post their joint interviews here? I've seen 2 print ones, so far, from the recent roundtables in LA, and Gwen and Nikolaj should just have their own spin-off show as their off-screen alter-egos. They fake? bicker like an old married couple or something. I believe Nik has met his female equivalent interview trolling match. If they don't do a DVD commentary together, I will be completely sad.

I'm getting ready to crash and have some glorious sleep, so you can DO IT DO IT, if you want. ;-) (Otherwise I'll post later/tomorrowish unless someone else wants to.)

I posted some interview links and a trolly photo in a comment below:

I don't know of anything else they've done as a duo (although I haven't really looked), unless you've seen something else?

Oh yes, PLEASE!! And I do hope we get to see them on a panel together or something. They do enjoy pulling legs and having fun. On the Emmy panel, DB Weiss nominated Gwen as one of the funniest people to have on set. And this pic from the Seattle premiere - the innocent' look on Nik's face is priceless.

Gwen does have to catch up to Nikolaj, b/c he has had many years as a troll (I haven't seen him really interview that much prior to Game of Thrones, so I don't know if he was as troll-y when he did interviews for New Amsterdam...probably not since he was lead on that), but I *think* what monpetitchou07 was talking about is when Gwen & Nik have been interviewed at the same time (maybe you've seen these, I dunno..and it seems like more should be coming in the future since they did 4? roundtables ( ... )
