I am in the mood for drawing some more Jaime/Brienne but I am sadly out of ideas, so I'd thought I'd come here to ask for inspiration. Last time I asked on tumblr, Jaime in Brienne's arms after he almost faints in Harrenhal came about - what would you like to see now? Can be canon or not, romantic or platonic... I can't promise I'll draw everything

I also wouldn't mind seeing Jaime's fever dream where he and Brienne are holding the flaming swords.

I've drawn Brienne in Jaime's dream already actually (though erm, no flames on the sword. I got lazy)

well, I did try to make her more attractive here because you know, she's seen through besotted jaime dream vision :P but mostly I think I draw her too attractive (though not necessarily feminine) because I adore the character and I can't help myself!

lol aww! I love the way you draw brienne; too many people draw her as grotesquely deformed and I can't get behind that at all. my girl is homely, not the spawn of an ogre and a wildebeast, jfc.

^This. Sure, Martin makes the point that this young lady is physically unattractive by normal Westeros standards, but that doesn't make her a caricature.

seriously. and people fail to recognize that the people who describe brienne in the first place are really superficial/stuck in rigid gender roles. cat is probably going to be pretty critical at first of this woman who's defying everything she's ever been taught about what a woman should be, and jaime's a huge dbag that resents brienne at first, he's not exactly going to skimp on the chance to insult her as much as he can.

THANK YOU! I was having this debate with someone a while back after Gwen Christie was cast. He was like, "They're going to have to do a lot to make her ugly enough to be Brienne." I was baffled. And pretty much responded with what you said. And for the same reasons as the person you commented to mentioned. Brienne is not pretty by the standards of the shallow people of Westeros.
