(no subject)
Well, I've had a lovely birthday weekend, even though my birthday isn't until tomorrow!
On Friday Dan and I went to a pub in Ipswich with Darren and Laura, to see a band. I'm afraid this left me in a rather extreme state of drunkenness! Saturday we were joined by Matt, Ben and Antoinne and ventured to the SU bar followed by Discord where we finally met the lovely
quartzcrystal (Christina) and
the_mart, which was extremely enjoyable :D It is quite wonderful to know at least two people who share my taste in music!
Sunday daytime was just as enjoyable, but the evening was slightly hectic. I spent the day with my brother buying trinkets and tables in IKEA and presents for my mum, gassing non-stop. I actually found out that one of my former best friends had come out (finally!). The evening was spent in an overpriced Chinese restaurant with three slightly sluggish 50+yr olds (mother included) and my brother, who was itching to get back to work! To be honest, it wasn't that bad, but I still smiled inside when my Dad came to collect me and take me home!
So far I have received three cakes, some perfume, a Buffy DVD collection, a bottle of Champagne, a pair of earrings, some money for my Incognito tickets, a chocolate teddy, an elephant bear, a book about learning Perl, and some bits for my kitchen! This probably wont happen again so I'll just enjoy it whilst I can. Wish I was 21 every year :)
