"This Sentimentality Doesn't Look Good On Me"

Anyway, in a prompt to check to see if iTunes was still working for me, I decided to download "Heaven" by DJ Sammy and "Not Gonna Get Us" by t.a.T.u. Whyever did you download those kind not so good songs, you might ask? Well, there's a reason.
They play them at Applebee's a lot.
Now, I don't deny that there may be some cognitive dissonance going on here that's telling me that I actually like these songs, but I was thinking about how I'm going back there to work for the summer and how nice everyone there was. Really nice. Like Haverford nice. Most of them, anyway.
And it suddenly strikes me that I'm going to be stuck in academic for the next five years at least and wow life would be so much simpler if I just worked in a restaurant. Of course I'm not going to do that. But schools are asking for decisions and I'm looking for ways to visit them, and I've been stressing out about this, and the thought of a real thesis kind of terrifies me. (I submitted a draft of my thesis yesterday.)
Sigh. I need to do something either social or productive. And LJ does not count. I could either grade or walk to Wawa or clean up my room. Or go to Lunt. Hmmm... Going to Lunt and reading may work best after a Wawa/bank run.
On a totally different note, icky weather today. I was supposed to play softball for "The Other Team" (the SAGA team's name, my idea), but it got cancelled last night due to rain. Oh well. I swear I'll be active.
