Tuesday, 6/29:
First day back at the internship! Of course, the only thing that I really accomplished was helping organize the going away party for the people in my department that got fired. Oh well. There was good food to be had.
Wednesday, 6/30:
Work was whatever. I have a lot of projects to do, so I'm keeping busy.
Of course, the real excitement of the day was going to the Rufus Wainwright/Ben Folds/Guster concert, which kicked serious ass. I saw so many people from Haverford and lots of high school people. It was crazy. Rufus was whatever, Ben Folds kicked major ass (and he sang Army, so yay!) and Guster was just amazing. Sweet. Anyone who can go to this concert, must (and that means you,
havergirl1027).
Thursday, 7/1:
Nothing really noteworthy at work today, except writing a letter to
thejersey at camp. In the evening, I saw Spiderman 2, which was great. Nick and his friends brought vodka into the theater, which kind of sketched me out. Oh well.
Friday, 7/2:
Mailed
thejersey's package, then went to Applebee's for my first day of good paying work. It was fine. I got sent out on two separate errands, one to Padonia Applebee's to borrow some supplies and ask for repayment of some past borrows, and one to Giant to buy ice because our ice machine broke. I got some very odd looks at Giant ("Yes, I have 30 7-lb. bags of ice."). Good news is that the two hosts I hated both got fired for not working when they were on the clock (so true), so that's good.
Saturday, 7/3:
Went to Applebee's again. Not much happened. I switched with someone so that I would "close," but I ended up being cut at 12:00 instead. Sweet. Had a telephone conversation with
havergirl1027, and then failed to get to sleep until 3:30 AM. Yipes!
Today, 7/4:
Saw Fahrenheit 9/11 with parents to celebrate 4th of July. Good call. Good movie. I didn't like the second half of the film as much as the first half, but oh well.
Tomorrow: Applebee's again, though I need to go to a shoe store and buy some plain white shoes for work. I should also get that new CD player. I'll have to check out Best Buy and see what they have. Fun.
