Just thinking and listening to music and decided to throw some lyrics on here that caught my ear..
I think I've read this book before.
Hardbound shiny cover, pretty colors,
But an ending that's sure to disappoint.
It's not what you'd expect when you open the box.
And all the things you'd wished you'd find,
fleeting and taunting.
Colors drab and ordinary,
to the brilliant white of not knowing what's inside.
But how can I bear to behold that dream now?
That my eyes have adjusted to the concrete walls of this box that I've opened?
And I know I'm more than just a little fucked up,
but I'm trying to make my way back home.
-Gatsbys American Dream
Take a breathe and hold it in,
Are you still unsure?
Take a step, lets take two back,
While covering our tracks.
Give me a time and a place and I'll be there,
I swear.
I'm falling from the front to the back of your mind.
Lets write this one again,
Words we'd never say.
Even just pretend if it's the only way.
Hold on, hold on to you.
Say what you have been meaning to.
Be what you have been dreaming, too.
Say what you have been meaning to.
Just hold on.
-Spitalfield
You perfume covered helpless louse,
Look on the bright side.
See, every time you laugh out loud,
I'm crying inside.
I have the sense to be afraid, to be the fool.
Try commonsense,
Make me believe.
Believe in you.
-As Tall As Lions
And so I walk the web in search of love,
But always seem to end up stuck.
I'm finding flaws in everyone.
I've reached the point where all I want,
Is to sleep around in hopes that I will catch back up.
We are parallel lines,
We’re running in circles,
We're never meant to cross.
-The Format
The sheets are stained with,
Memories of your soft kiss.
Now this is all I have,
Paper and pen to remember you with.
And I will blame myself.
And I will blame myself.
Holding onto what I hoped would keep you by my side.
I will blame myself.
