She stands there lonely,
Beaten down by her own ways.
Stomach convulses with her own shame,
Body quaking with the effort taken.
Can she stand it anymore?
Thoughts race through her mind,
That she could have done things differently.
Screaming out in anguish,
Jade orbs seem to lose their lust for life,
Replaced by the garnet hue of something else.
Tortured mind yelling at herself,
Disbelief she did this.
Her neck burns with the bite,
Teeth having pierced deep into the flesh.
So innocent once before,
Naivete never to return.
Moaning, needing that sweet fluid,
Greedy hands lash out to grab the sliced wrist offered.
Like an addict she latches on,
Sucking the thick substance in which to live.
Oh why did she choose to be like this?
Strength, power, immortality-
All too great to resist.
She had gone looking for it,
Begging him to sire her.
Now she was gone, someone else forever.
Undead, forsaken, eternally cursed;
A vampire.
