So I've been kinda quiet on here lately and for that I'm sorry. Christmas has really kicked my butt and working in retail is never fun, especially when rude customers forget that, even though I'm a cashier and they're not, I'm human and deserve to be treated with respect. *grrr* It's very annoying but I don't wanna get into that. This is purely an entertainment post.
Doctor Who:
The Christmas episode was so cute! I loved it. And who else caught that the "Scrooge" character was played by Dumbledore? I'm a huge fan of Rory and Amy and was thrilled to see them on their honeymoon...well we didn't actually see the honeymoon part but we do know that they like kink in the bedroom. *laughing* Not that I would expect anything less from Amy. She's always been shown as adventurous and Rory, well Rory would literally die for her, so it's not out of the realm of possibility he would do anything she wanted in their sex life as well. That's not to say he wasn't VERY willing. *laughing* Anyway, I like the continuation of that story since the summer finale left with them having just been married. The actual story of the show was heartbreakingly sweet. My heart really went out to the "old Miser". He found love and then found out that she would only live for one more day. *sigh* Just so sad. I was really hoping like hell the Doctor would somehow "fix" her, but that was not to be. The small "preview" we got for when the show comes back (this summer- *grrr*) looks fantastic. I'm thrilled that Rory is now part of the show officially. Hopefully that means he won't be killed off every other episode. *laughing*
White Collar:
This is all I'm going to say--

Neal and Sara! Hot damn. Peter getting kidnapped...eek. MOZZIE!!! I'm so freaking excited.
Greek-
It's ending. This is the last ten episodes and it's making me sad. I'm going to miss the students of CRU. I'm hoping that Casey and Cappie actually get a decent ending. I'd love for them to end up together, but I'm willing to accept an open-ended- leaning towards getting back together-ending. I've been hearing that Ashleigh and Rusty will possibly end up getting together, which I love since I've been shipping them from the moment she kissed him on the dance floor. Honestly I never thought the show would go there, but I'm not going to be upset if they do decide to make that jump. Calvin and Heath are back together! YAY. I hated Calvin's other boyfriend. And Heath is just too damn cute for words. It should be an action packed final season. *grin*
Movies:
Went to see the new Narnia- bawled like a newborn. I really enjoyed the movie and even though I know it didn't do as well as many "movie know it alls" wanted it to, I just don't care. If you like the first two, you will like this one- I actually liked it more than the others because it featured Edmund more and frankly he has been my favorite character since...well since forever. *laughing*
Downloaded- the Other Guys. I was shocked to say- I loved it. I'm not usually one for stupid comedy, so I was prepared to hate it on sight, I didn't. It was actually funny and quite clever in some places. Yes it had the stupid comedy element, but it was as overwhelming as I thought it would be.
Downloaded- Easy A. It was an easy C or C-. The movie was blah. Even the funny parts weren't that funny. Very disappointed and I'm glad I didn't pay money to see/buy/rent.
Downloaded- The A-team. AWESOME!!! It was a cheesy action flick and I loved every single second of it. *grin* I would gladly pay to money for this movie. And trust me, that's saying something. I wish the PTB would make another one, but I don't forsee that happening.
Pretty Little Liars:
This is where I get on my soap box and rant for a little bit. Okay here it is: EMILY NEEDS TO BE BI! I have a major problem with one aspect of this show- the Emily is a lesbian storyline. One issue I have, she isn't. In the books she is bi or at best "homoflexible". She is attracted to women but she is also attracted to men. Another issue: the chick that the show is forcing her with is blah and has no chemistry with Emily. I have seen fans of Maya and Emily admit that they have no chemistry and that the only reason they like them together is because it shows Emily with another girl. That's ridiculous. It's stupid. The writers should know the golden rule of writing a TV show: write for the character, not some predestined storyline. Hell look at Gossip Girl, Chuck and Blair- were never together in the books, but the chemistry was there and the fans loved them. The writers smartly wrote for the characters on screen and gave up the "this is what I want to happen" storyline.
the fact is, they either need to slow the Maya/Emily relationship down or drop it. No one is biting and most of the fans want Emily with Toby (someone she has actual chemistry, a connection and heat with). Of course from what I've read in the TV Guide I just got, I guess the writers are showing their stupidity. The exact words: Maya and Emily heat up. *gag* The only way they could "heat up" is if someone sets them on fire. It's just not there! And I'll say it again, Emily needs to be bi. I'm not saying Shay (Emily) will never have chemistry with someone other than Keegan (Toby), I'm just saying it's not there with the girl that plays Maya...*sigh*
I've also read that Toby ends up hooking up with Spencer...um YIKES! Thats a pairing that kinda gives me heartburn. Right now the writers have had Spencer with three different guys (true one was in a flashback, but still) and now Toby? I don't know what to think about that, other than- YIKES! Good news is, it will give us more Toby time, bad news is it will be with Spencer and not with Emily. *laughing*
The show comes back January 3rd. Here's hoping they don't jump the shark in the back half of the season...and that the writers pay attention to the fans. Because - *gasp*- the fans are the ones that will keep the show on the air.
