Title: Happy Thanksgiving

Summary: Ashlee's first Thanksgiving with her husband... but is it Coop or Shayne?

The place was a beehive of activity. People were bumping into each other to get to the food and the table. Chairs were being scraped across the floor as his big family found their seats. The fine china was out… or as fine as china can get for a struggling new husband and wife. Screams were heard from all around them, children laughing, parents arguing and football cheers bouncing off the walls. He ran a hand through his brown hair and rocked back on his heels, searching the small house for his love.

He found her in the kitchen. A grin broke out on his face when he noticed a streak of flour covering her cheek. Her eyes were frantic and he could see her silently talking to herself. Walking the length of the house, he leaned against the wall. “Ashlee,” he murmured.

She spun on her heels and faced him. Her frazzled expression became even more anxious. “I think I’m going nuts,” she ran a hand through her hair. “I made apple pie instead of pumpkin. I should have made pumpkin, shouldn’t I? I mean it’s a tradition.” Tears welled up in her blue eyes, “I ruined our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife.”

The laugh wanted to bubble out of his throat, but he knew how much this meant to her and didn’t want to start their first holiday together in a fight. He walked further into the room and wrapped his arms around her. Ashlee buried her head into his shoulder. “You haven’t ruined anything,” he whispered into her ear. “Listen to everyone,” she tilted her head up and listened. “Our families are enjoying the meal you made, they are enjoying the day you created for them.”

“I love you,” Ashlee sighed, tilting her head further to kiss him. He met her half way. The soft texture of her lips against his was one of his favorite feelings in the world. Her kisses could sooth his soul and make him hungry all at once. She pulled back and looked through the small opening above the counter. “I can’t believe how well Doris is getting along with everyone.”

He turned his head and laughed. Doris sat on one end of the sofa and glared at his half brother. The situation was made even funnier by the fact that his brother was grinning back at her. The blending of their families has been an interesting experience, but wasn’t going as bad as he feared. Interlocking his arms around her, he bent down.

“I can’t wait to get you alone tonight,” his intentions were plain for her to hear and she shivered in his arms. Her cheeks turned a deep red. “I have mentioned how sexy you look today? How good you smell,” he growled into her neck. “I wish we were alone right now.”

“Stop that,” she hissed silently. “The house is full of our family and friends and now isn’t the time to…”

“To, what, sexy lady,” he teased backing her up until her back hit the wall on the far side of the kitchen. Far away from the stares of their family and into a private corner where it was just them. He traced the length of her neck with his lips, finding the spot below her ear that made her shiver and moan.

She did both, her hands gripping his shirt, her nails digging into the skin of his back. “It isn’t the time to disappear,” her voice had a deep, sexy tone to it. His body tightened in reaction. Blood rushed through his body and he pressed his erection into her. Ashlee moaned again, her leg sliding up the side of his. “God, you aren’t playing fair, my sexy husband.”

“All’s fair in love,” he kissed his way up her neck. “And war, my beautiful wife.” A throat being cleared behind them forced him to break away. Ashlee buried her face into his chest, embarrassed that they were caught like that. He turned, glaring at his niece. Daisy grinned at him. “Do you need something?”

Daisy shrugged, “We were just wondering when dessert would be served.” Her eyes turned a wicked shade of brown. “But I can let everyone know the newlyweds are busy doing other stuff.” She spun around and Ashlee pulled away from him.

“No,” she exclaimed, much to Daisy’s amusement. “The pie is over there. I’ll…um…I’ll,” Ashlee stuttered, completely flustered. He found that very cute and wanted her all the more. “I’ll get some ice cream and whip cream out to you all in a minute.”

Daisy winked at her, “Take your time.”

Ashlee turned to see him holding back a laugh and hit him with her palm. “Thanks for the help.”

He wrapped his arms around her again. She playfully fought against him. His hands slid down her back to cup her ass. Ashlee gasped. “I’d be fine with them knowing that we want some time alone,” he told her with a wicked grin. “In fact maybe we should tell them, so that I can spend the rest of Thanksgiving giving thanks for you…in bed.”

Her blue eyes darkened as she thought about his suggestion. She pulled her lower lip between her teeth and her hands curled into his brown hair. “What kind of things are you thankful for?” Ashlee leaned close, nipping his earlobe with her teeth.

He growled. “Get rid of everyone and I’ll show you.”

She tilted her head, that curtain of gold fell across her shoulder as her mind worked. He could see the temptation in her eyes. Her breathing increased and she licked her lips. For a moment he thought it was a done deal. He mentally cheered and started to undress her in his head. He wondered what was underneath that blue shirt. Was it the black lace bra that cupped her amble bosom in a loving way? Or was it the naughty red one that sent his blood pressure soaring through the roof. His mouth watered just thinking about finding out.

Ashlee shook her head and kissed him hard on the lips. “Later,” she told him with a purr in her voice.

He sighed and followed her out of the kitchen to entertain their guests for another couple of hours.

The last person walked out of the house and he leaned against the wood door, breathing a hefty sigh of relief. The house was a mess. It looked like a tornado rushed through it. A small smile curled his lips; that wasn’t a really bad description. Their families were like a force of Mother Nature. Gathering plates, he walked into the kitchen and stopped cold at the door. Ashlee stood by the sink in nothing but a small apron.

Her blonde hair was pinned up in a loose bun. Several strains fell around her face in honey waves. His heart pounded harshly as he took in her appearance. She grinned seductively at him and curled her index finger toward her. “You promised you would show me how thankful you were,” Ashlee’s tone swirled around him.

He pulled his shirt over his head, walking over to where she was. “Well a promise is a promise.”

“Uh-huh,” she nodded backing up into the counter.

He reached her and lifted her up. Ashlee’s legs wrapped around him and she locked her ankles at the base of his spine. “I’m thankful for your smile,” he whispered against her lips. “I’m thankful for the spot on your neck that makes you go weak,” he sucked at that very spot. “I’m thankful for your hands on me,” he placed her hands on his chest. She slid them up and down the tone area of his body. “I’m thankful for your moans and sighs when we make love,” he cupped her breast in his hand and she moaned deep in her throat. He pulled back and met her hazy blue eyes, “But most importantly, I’m thankful for your love, support and the fact that you are mine for all our lives. I love you, Ashlee.”

A tear leaked from the corner of her eye and she grinned at him. “I’m thankful for that too, Mr. Bradshaw. I love you too, so much more every day.”

Coop pulled the pins from her hair and tangled his hands in her locks. “That’s good, Mrs. Bradshaw, because I intend to be here with you every day.” He kissed her deeply, stealing her breath and taking it inside of him. “Now how about we celebrate the holiday?” He lifted in his arms and carried her to the bedroom. “Happy Thanksgiving my lovely wife.”

She caressed his cheek, “Happy Thanksgiving my sexy husband.”

Coop made love to his wife, worshiping her into the long hours of the night. It was a great first Thanksgiving for the Bradshaws. With his wife curled into his side, Coop whispered one more thing in her ear, “I’m also thankful for that thing you do with your tongue.”

Ashlee laughed rolling onto her back. Her eyes a wicked shade of blue, “Want me to do it again?”

I hope you liked it. All feedback would be loved and appreciated
