A not so short (but not too long) SPN poem

May 17, 2007 23:37

Wrote this quite a while ago. Dug it out the other day and decided to post it.

This was written from Dean's point of view.  Slash implied, wincest of course.

Solitaire

Dream, and allow the illusion to fool you again

Awaken, and choke on the reality and pain

For the false façade you must wear

But drown in the emptiness nothing can compare

Drift, to the unknown destination and you don’t care

Stop, and once again in the middle of nowhere

The tiring journey that long began

But has never seemed to draw to an end

Drink, and may the alcohol numb your sense

Sleep, but a shadow in your dream leaves you tense

The figure in your fantasy haunts your desire

And your love and lust will consume you with fire

Fall, to keep the tender smile you’ll do whatever it costs

Shatter, without the gentle caress you could never be more lost

Maybe someday you will have to pay the price

But for Hell, with your beloved, it’s paradise

Be silent, without your heart you are just a burning shell

Be greedy, to claim the fallen angel you would give your soul to sell

Though you crave to imprison the seductive body

With those wings, the sinful lips would never belong to thee

Crush, and throw the last bit of sanity you clutch into the flame

Break, somehow you know the one you cherished isn’t to blame

So let go and forget about the moments of pleasure you stole

Then face your fate and allow the Demon to take you whole
