Oh Karma. I know you're a bitch, and I'm glad you're my friend. This is why I try to err on your good side and thank my lucky stars when you throw me a bone.
Why, you might ask, oh interwebs?
I'll tell ya why. Tonight I just found out that the General Manager of the hotel I was fired from just quit. In my opinion, like many of us at the hotel, he was undervalued and treated like garbage, while trying to reign in the moron under him.
The moron in question is the "Ex-Boss". The one who fired me, and is denying my unemployment. I have suspicions that Ex-Boss was getting worse and making a lot more bad decisions, and the GM had finally had it. When you're doing such a horrible job that your own boss washes his hands of you and leaves, that does not bode well for you. I feel bad for the GM, because he took the job to help out his friend. Then the friend died, leaving his spoiled princess of a partner in charge, and between the princess and the other friend (The Ex-Boss)treating it like their playground, and not a business, you can only do so much.
So, in other good news, my soon to be hubby may be getting an interview soon with BASF in New Brunswick. Great starting pay, benefits to die for after a trial period, and stability. WOOOOOT!!!! It'll be a M-F gig which means he'll still be doing knife work for extra money.
Now all I need is for my own unemployment to go through, and we'll be in better shape.
I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, it's getting bigger and brighter. I just need to keep chuggin' along and keep doing what I'm doing.
Thank you Karma! And Yes, I do enjoy a little Schadenfreude now and then.
