I voted. And most of my friends would love to tear out my eyeballs for making the choice that I did.
But this country's going to hell no matter who's driving the chariot.
I think the electoral college and the entire voting system needs to be re-done. Actually, the electoral college should be thrown out.
I also think that I want my uncle to come home from Iraq. After spending time with Kim and the kids, they need their husband and father. The stories he tells us about what he's doing out there are outrageously positive. All the pictures of him and smiling kids with water bottles... He says he feels he's doing the right thing by being there. I've always looked up to my uncle, and this trial has strengthened that adoration considerably.
I'm very conflicted on that issue.
I wore a Bush-Cheney '04 sticker to work. But get this, the manager wanted me to take it off. I told him I had a right to free speech, and he ought to give Laurie her Kerry pin back because she has the same right as the rest of us. Employee's opinions do not reflect that of the Ryan's establishment. So he agreed to let us all go sticker ourselves if we liked. I did get a LOT of comments on my sticker, though. My co-worker Randy got downright vicious with me... demanded I take the sticker off. He hasn't talked to me civilly since that day. I find that immature and disrespectful. I had a lot of customers get into discussions with me... overall, I think it was an entirely wonderful thing to have done. It was a highly intellectual day.
That night I went up to my parents house and watch a taping of that show called 'The Swan'. For some reason, I love/hate watching that show.
Plastic surgery is so... I don't know how to explain myself.
If I were EVER to get any sort of surgery, I would get elfin ears. Because that would be cool.
