I had a strange day today. No really, some weird instances happened...two actually...but both strange.

When I tried to get into my car so that I could go to work, I found that my door was frozen closed. Now, this is not exactly a strange event. It's sort of expected really. The weird part of it came after I crawled in through the passenger-side door and began my way to work. I was trying to thaw off my windshield and driving down the highway when my car started making a strange beeping noise. It took me a few moments to realize that this noise was an indicator that my door was open...my door had thawed off and was trying to open on the freaking highway. So, I held onto the handle to the driver-side door with all my strength as I tried to drive to a place to stop. I had to stop twice before I could actually get the door closed all the way and drive safely to work.

Later, when I went to Kroger to a bit of food, I heard another strange noise. When I closed the door to the freezers that house frozen pizza, the door spoke to me. At first, I thought I had completely imagined it, then I tried it again, and I still heard two distinct words in the creaks of the door. "Thank you." it said. I know it didn't actually say "thank you" but it really really sounded like it. I wish that there was someone there to hear it with me, but I've been feeling like such a loner lately that it didn't seem a good idea to call somebody. It reminded me of the door in "Hitchhiker's Guide." They are programed to be pleasant to you and often say "thank you" or just sigh with pleasure as people enter through them.

Ya know, it makes me sad that most people might be freaked out by such an observation. I think there are maybe three people who wouldn't give me a "you're insane" stare if I had stopped to tell them.

I don't know how to end this, so I'll just trail off......
