get off of my holiday!
I'm sure you've already noticed, but it's here. Christmas music is in full swing ALREADY!! We've been forced into listening to it at work and will continue to do so until the day has passed. I...want...to...kill...*breaths*
If you were wondering what that strange feeling you got on Saturday was...it was at least 20 Bixlers swarming through Denton, TX for a family event. That's right! You know you felt it! My cousin Kim tied the knot on Saturday leaving me (as the oldest eligible cousin) to answer all the usual questions from my relatives. Ya know: "Sooooo, when are YOU getting married?" and "When do YOU graduate?" and "Where do you want to teach? What type of lesson plans are you working on? What do you know about the UNT Education Department?" and "Did I ever tell you about the time I directed 'Jesus Christ Super Star'?" (this last one from my CRAZY uncle who knows nothing about theatre or music, so it struck me as odd). I got to hang out with my dad for a while and he helped me get my car out of the impound lot sinse it was unexpectedly towed while I took care of a friend. We ate lunch at Baris with a group of the 7 sane Bixlers. It was nice.
This weekend was strange and I learned many interesting facts about friends that I felt were coming on. I just hope that people can learn to take everything they hear with a grain of salt.
