HP Party Blog Entry #4: Bring on the Real Food
Less than 24 hours! *gasp*
I printed out house badges (on lovely Avery labels). ! Now we can be sorted! My lab graciously let me print on their delicious glossy laser color printer. Yay for lab!
Yeah, that's butter alright. :P This is the funeral dump cake, pre-bake. More on the meaning of this later.

The decadent chocolate gateau. I know, you don't think it looks like much, but wait until you taste it! Made with 60% cacao chips. Don't you dare guess how much butter is hidden in this bad boy! >: P Remember, Hogwarts food = unhealthy; so you might as well pig out! :D
I forgot to take photos of these amazing sauces for the gateau before I packed them into the fridge. D'oh. Here are their remains for you to drool over. :P Some creme anaglaise and raspberry puree.
BOOK 7 SPOILERS!!! Back to funeral cake discussion. Here are the tombstones I made (plus war memorial). *sadness* I'll put these on the cake along with wonderful sugar flowers I purchased at the Vanilla Bean. This should bring the party down-to-earth a bit given how depressing a lot of the most recent book was.
Lesson for the day: Should I ever decide not to be pre-med, and go open a brewery or w/e, I WILL NOT become an epitaph writer. I think my brain started to bleed trying to come up with these ridiculous lines. Alternatively, I can be like JKR and actually read the Bible! On second thought... or not. :P
