Ok. So here's the scoop.
Mike (my boyfriend, for all of those who don't know and are actually reading this for some crazy reason), has come up to visit me here in Mansfield. He's sleeping right now. I SO just want to poke him, lol.
It's funny when he's sleeping and I tickle his feet because he twitches and moves around. *devilish horns grow out of my head*
But anyway... he's up here visiting so that he can see the Festival Choir concert this Saturday night.
I'm REALLY excited about it!! The piece is the Verdi Requiem, which is approximately 211 pages of music to sing. In addition, we'll be singing it with the orchestra (yes, that's right. All of you from sun valley would be amazed at the sight of REAL stringed instruments such as the BEAUTIFUL violins!! I know I am!)
Mike's here also because he wants to try to be a student of Mansfield University. For some reason, he just really likes this place. He wants to major in Bio ed. if the school will cooperate. Mansfield is apparently putting the Biology major here in "moratorium", aka DEATH. They're doing the same with the theatre and fine arts. IT MAKES ME ANGRY.
But anyway... I've also decide on a major.
Ladies and gentlemen: I decided to be a Biology major.
Why?
Well, the boyfriend really didn't make me want to become a bio major, so don't think I'm a copycat.
Anyone who knows me well at all knows that I'm a total geek when it comes to animals (mostly birds).
I found out that there's an ornithologist right here on campus, so I can study ornithology, and I can also study zoology!! In addition, I found out that I don't necessarily need an art degree to go into the scientific illustration business (which is, by the way, a flourishing market!).
I'm quite the excited little kitty! :D
Now all I have to do is NOT be a BIG FAT FAILURE at school and get my financial aid taken care of so that maybe, just maybe I'll actually be able to go somewhere with this fucked-up life of mine.
Not that having a fucked-up life is completely bad.
But oh well. Mike's feet are sticking out of the blanket now.
I think it's time for me to disturb his dreams.
*pokes feet*
