ALIAS!
Basically, I saw this yesterday. And then I rushed straight over to ms_dollsome to tell her what I thought, and now I am copying what I wrote and adding a bit more.
JUST SAW THE ALIAS FINALE.

I liked it. I didn't love it like I loved some of the rest of the season, like the "keep Vaughn safe" and YAY it's Will again moments. I guess, I had big expectations for this finale, which I shouldn't have done, but I had them, dammit, because I love Alias and I even LIKE season 4 quite a lot. The finale was an excellent episode, I'm just not sure it was an excellent finale.
I kind of liked that they made Irina eval but then I don't like that it was so short. There should have been a stellar fight scene between her and Sydney, with Syd actually winning in the end instead of her trying to save Irina. Espesh after she was all, "being my mother means nothing to me" etc etc. She did an abrupt u-turn. Yes, I know she's her mother, blah blah blah, but Syd was so vehement about fighting her! She should have actively stabbed her or something. Yes.
Rachel/Tom- not a huge fan of the ship. As friends, yes. But lovers, no. Maybe if there had been more episodes, I'm guessing that's the sort of thing they might have developed, especially with the little storyline about his wife. It was sad that he died to save all those people. But Rachel/Sark. H.O.T.
Uhm...what else. Yeah, the future's bright! But I didn't like it so much. It would have been nicer for it to be a little in the future with still baby Isabel but maybe a little Jack on the way? It was too much of an ending, I suppose. Although I liked how Dixon insinuated that they were both doing little Spy bits now and then.
Jack dying- I suppose it was bound to happen, and I liked the way he went out. With a bang, so to speak. And it was kind of harsh to leave Sloan all on his lonesome trapped in a rock forEVER but I suppose he was the ultimate evil, so it was a case of a big bunch of karma coming around to bite him in the ass.
That's about it, I think. I'd love to know what you guys thought, seeing as I didn't read ANY spoilers or reactions to the finale when it aired.
