random stuff and would you blog for a fee?

Just opened a mini Cliff bar, chocolate brownie flavor, and it actually looks like doo doo.

Things are rough at Michelle's house -- I sometimes wonder if there's any supervision there at all, or if the teenagers have completely taken over. She regularly has food fights with her sister and just told us she's missing a toe (slammed it in sliding bathroom door). I imagine Maggie as a teenager and well, it's hard to picture her losing a toe, but I bet she's just the kind of kid something like that will happen to.

Speaking of Maggie, she recently drew an amazing illustration of Mickey Mouse in a shopping cart, and can make upper and lowercase letters. She also has a bit of a naughty streak. I haven't yet made good on my promise to drop Tabasco on her tongue if she sticks it out at me again, but I went so far as to get it from the fridge last night.

I miss California.

Different companies, etc. have asked me to blog for them -- like pay me in some way to do it. I'm not sure how I feel about that because I don't quite get blogging if it's not completly about my thoughts/ideas/what's in my head. I'd have to be writing about me in the context of my experiences or it seems like it would be false. So to write for them, shouldn't I have to be involved working with them fairly regularly? I think some organizations want a blog because they think they need one but haven't thought about why and who will read it. Only one that makes sense is a parenting magazine. I can write about being a parent. Snap.

Do any of you friends blog for others? get paid?
