in florence
nice was nice and relaxing. the first day i slept in and watched the first flight of that super jumbo jet. then took one of those tacky touristic little train things that are all over the cote d'azur. was fun. walked around for the rest of that day and the second day
third day i left for florence via milan on train. 5 mins before departure from nice i noticed that my ticket had the wrong date on it even tho i told the ticket guy april 29 the ticket said may 29. but nobody noticed so whatever
yesterday took the bus into central florence. walked around a lot (was 80 degrees). went to the cathedral and baptistery. saw david in the accademia and went to another musuem.
today is international labor day so no buses were working. had to walk in, it was 85 today. got as far as the bridge with the houses hanging off it and then walked back. a little disappointed that i was here on this one day when no buses worked, but at least it will not be the same case tomorrow when i have to get to the train station.
cooled off in my hotel room, now going to find a pizza place. i love real italian pizza. i dont really like the american chains because that isnt real pizza
i have a sunburn. my dermatologist wont be happy. i go in every year to get screened for skin cancer and crap.
oh.
if amy reads this, i ran out of mins on my phone. go figure, the one thing i didnt bother to check, so i dont know how we will get in touch to meet up in venice.
