craziness vs. stupidity
My latest comment on someone else's journal, I thought worthy of sharing...
I do think girls who are not crazy may exist. But I've never been attracted to any, even if I have met them. Of course every woman I've ever been with is completely batshit nuts, and I've even gone so far as to suspect it is actually a trait of mine, not theirs. I've got this male, orderly, planning, organizing future oriented mindset that finds the here-now unpredictable push-me-pull-you random spontanious sharp-clawed intoxication of women a drug far more addicting than any other substance known to man.
The evolutionary arguments suggesting a naturally selective process at work favoring males who forget the toxicity of women is an excellent one. I recently heard something hauntingly similar: "women are crazy, men are stupid." The elegance of the evolutionary argument is that it provides a reproductive advantage (an essential ingredient in natural selection) to men who keep coming back for more, in spite of evidence to the contrary. Celibacy and homosexuality are behaviors that seldom lead to offspring, mammary-gland-good-ass induced brainfreeze often does.
I guess my long-winded $0.02 contribution comes down this: a corallary to the "hot girl = crazy girl" theory is that "All hot chicks are some ex-boyfriends crazy bitch from hell."
And knowing this doesn't seem to help us either.
