A Memory's Future

Feb 10, 2008 13:35

A year goes by and I can't talk about it
All we need is a little bit of momentum
Break down these walls that we've built around ourselves
Sometimes I feel so heavy hearted,
But I can't explain cos I'm so guarded
Everywhere I'm turning, nothing seems complete
The question asked in order, to save her life or take it
"Do you believe in God," written on a bullet
Don't be shocked that people die.
Be surprised you're still alive.
My tongue dances behind my lips for you,
I'm alive.
Like the light was all I had, I struck the book with my last match.
Salt, tasting tears...they roll off of my lips
One for each day I'm inside this house.
Won't let it pass me by again...
No, you won't disarm my heart.
