Hey all,
I was wondering, what is an excellent, powerful, but light amplifier. I have a solid state Fender Princeton Chorus right now, and it doesn't really have a tone that I'm proud of. The little beast is a 2x10" that weighs about 40 pounds, so I can tote it around easily.
A good friend has an excellent sounding 2x12" Fender Deluxe Reverb, but that thing weighs about 70 lbs and it's almost too much for him, even though he's about 6 inches taller than me.
So say the max I can lift without starting to be a wimp is ~55 lbs... what would be a good match for me in the 300-600$ range. Tubes aren't a must, and it doesn't have to be a combo necessarily. I play almost all styles of music from clean slow country-ish to balls out wall of noise-rock... and I have a Jazzmaster :>
