(no subject)
My poor mother had to get a root removed today. (Three years ago she had a root canal on the tooth because it abscessed, and a few weeks ago the tooth fell off). It's her front right canine. The adjacent incisor had been removed about 30 years ago. That fell out, too. She's hoping to get dental implants, but the whole process will likely take about 8-9 months from now. I feel so sad for her. She does have a retainer she can put in that has two teeth on it, but it's but it's not the same and she can't really eat with it. She's so embarassed, but she really shouldn't be.
Anyways, I went down to Mankato today because they wanted an adult there in case she needed to undergo anesthesia, which she didn't. But, it wasn't an easy removal as it had gotten stuck in her jaw. Poor woman. Plus, my dad's gone tonight, in Chicago on business.
I felt so much sympathy for her. Hopefully she won't get dry sockets!
Tomorrow I'm going to the Science Museum with a friend. I'm so excited as it's been a while since I've been there! I look forward to it. The CSI exhibit should be interesting.
