In order to try to make myself feel a little better and focus on something good, I will recall the Tennessee trip that I didn't really get around to posting about.
After the RC & Moonpie fest in Bell Buckle on Saturday the 17th, Becky and I went back to Murfreesboro. Went to another pickin' party, but it was much smaller, just a few people in the house. This was at the house of the girl to whom Becky gives piano lessons. The one lady made excellent tripleberry cobbler. I believe it was that evening that we watched the movie Hoodwinked. It was pretty funny.
Sunday, went to church.
Then we went to this Caribbean restaurant, and it was good.
Monday we went to Bell Buckle, and Becky got some work done at Bell Buckle records. I hung out. We went to lunch at Bell Buckle Cafe with Val, Josie, and Michelle. Becky and I forgot to bring our swim stuff, but instead of driving back, Val lent me stuff. Becky didn't end up having time to swim. I took Josie swimming in the pool. (The Heinekes have a pool and their house is were Bell Buckle Records is.)
We went back to Murfreesboro for a violin lesson. I sat upstairs attempting to leech internet from the neighbors, but I had a very poor signal.
Monday evening, one of Becky's friends from ETSU (which is in Johnson City, TN) came over because he was in the area. We told ghost stories (although it was mainly him who had ghost stories). Then we watched Corpse bride.
Tuesday, Becky and I went to the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, TN. Our picture is supposed to be on www.jackdaniels.com
Then we went to a fabric outlet store in Fayetteville to get fabric for a quilt Becky wanted to make to mach her rug. On the way back, we stopped in Bell Buckle to get som of J. Gregry's spices fro Becky's mom Linda. It rained pretty hard on the way back from Bell Buckle.
We did a little shoe shopping. I got a pair of taupe flats.
That evening we watched Edward Scissorhands.
Wednesday morning I left town.
That's most of my trip.
