Something new...
OK...I'm not gonna do it. I'm not subjecting you all to another end-of-the-year summary. All of you "end-of-the-year-summary-ists" out there can count me out. It was not an easy year, but ultimately quite good. Still aprehensive about how decisions play out over time, but I'm ever hopeful. in other words: typical.
However, my long lost LJ nerds (and I mean that with sincere affection), I'll leave you with a song. It's posted on my MySpace (www.myspace.com/joetrainor) and should be the first song that plays. I've begun including lyrics on my MySpace, for the ultra-curious...or if you can't figure out what the hell I'm trying to say (like every woman in my life).
It's called "The Rail". I wrote it Friday morning, did the arrangement Saturday, recorded it with my brother Shawn on Sunday, and posted it today. A pretty productive weekend...indeed.
(I did the drums, keys, bass & vocals, Shawn covered all of the guitar duties and worked the little knobs and buttons.)
